Composite polydots and applications thereof
The present invention relates to nanoparticle compositions and, in particular, to composite polymeric nanoparticle compositions. A composite nanoparticle described herein comprises a photoluminescent polymeric component and a photo-thermal polymeric component. The photoluminescent polymeric component and the photo-thermal polymeric component can each comprise a single polymeric species or multiple polymeric species.

The present invention provides a macromolecular compound by which the short-circuit current density and the photoelectric conversion efficiency are enhanced when the macromolecular compound is used in an organic layer contained in a photovoltaic cell. A polymer comprising a repeat unit of formula (I): (I) wherein each Ar.sup.1 and each Ar.sup.2 independently represents a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic or heteroaromatic group; each Cy independently represents a saturated heterocyclic or carbocyclic ring that may be unsubstituted or substituted with one or more substituents; n is 1, 2 or 3; and adjacent groups Ar.sup.2 may be linked by Ca divalent linking group in the case where n is 2 or 3. The polymer may be used as a charge-transporting material or light-emitting material in an organic light-emitting device.

OXAZINE COMPOUND, COMPOSITION AND CURED PRODUCT
The present invention provides an oxazine compound having a specific structure, which contains a group having an aromatic ring structure and a plurality of specified carbon-carbon triple bond structure. The present invention further provides a composition containing the oxazine compound having a specific structure of the present invention, a cured product containing the composition, and a laminate having a layer of the cured product. The present invention further still provides a composition for a heat-resistant material and a composition for an electronic material, which contain the composition containing the oxazine compound of the present invention.
Fluorinated Benzoxadiazole-Based Donor-Acceptor Polymers for Electronic and Photonic Applications
A polymer comprising a repeating unit, which may further comprise one or more repeating units. The present subject matter also relates to a formulation comprising the polymer, and a fullerene, second polymer, or small molecule. The present subject matter further relates to an organic electronic (OE) device comprising a coating or printing ink containing the formulation, where the OE device may be an organic field effect transistor (OFET) device or an organic photovoltaic (OPV) device. The present subject matter also relates to synthesis of monomers, polymers, and the compounds produced therein.

PHENYL DERIVATIVES SUBSTITUTED WITH AT LEAST TWO ELECTRON ACCEPTORS AND AT LEAST TWO ELECTRON DONORS FOR USE IN ORGANIC ELECTRONIC DEVICES
The present invention relates to a phenyl-derivative compound substituted with at least two electron acceptors and at least two electron donors. Formula (I) R.sup.AaR.sup.DbR.sup.ScC.sub.6 wherein a is 2, 3 or 4; b is 2, 3 or 4; c is 0, 1 or 2; a+b?c=6; R.sup.A is at each occurrence independently a group with ?M-effect; R.sup.B is at each occurrence independently a group with +?M-effect; R.sup.S is as defined in claim 1. Said compound is suited for use in organic electronic devices, particularly in organic electroluminescent devices.
Method for producing compound
A method is provided for producing a compound, including a step of mixing a compound (1) having one or two leaving groups, a compound (2) having one or two boron atom-containing leaving groups, an organic base (P), and at least one selected from a phase transfer catalyst and an organic base (Q) larger in the number of carbon atoms than the above-mentioned organic base in the presence of a transition metal catalyst. The method thereby performs a coupling reaction between the above-mentioned compound (1) and the above-mentioned compound (2).
