RESIN MOLDING MATERIAL, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING RESIN MEMBER OR THE LIKE
Provided are a resin molding material, a method for producing same, and a method for producing resin member or the like, said resin molding material being a resin molding material which is capable of reducing a loss of ultraviolet absorber, resulting in less contamination in facilities, minimizing the impact of harmful lights by efficiently absorbing harmful lights in the wavelength region of 380 to 400 nm (to 420 nm), and suppressing the absorption of lights having a wavelength of not shorter than 400 nm (420 nm) which is a primary cause of early-stage yellowing to thereby produce a member having a superior appearance since the ultraviolet absorber is less prone to be sublimed during hot-melt compounding (first/second processing) that requires a high-temperature processing, or during other heat processing. The resin molding material is used in heat processing and comprises a resin and a 2-phenylbenzotriazole derivative that contains a thioether-containing group.
Polymeric materials
Additives such as colourants may be incorporated into polymeric materials such as polyesters, such as in polyester fibre production, by use of a liquid formulation comprising colourant and a vehicle. The vehicle may comprise a functionalised pentaerythritol, trimethylolpropane or trimellitate. The liquid formulation is suitably contacted with the polymeric material in a melt processing apparatus.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYMERS IN WHICH FILLERS ARE INCORPORATED AND HOMOGENEOUSLY DISTRIBUTED
For the production of polymers in which there are fillers with particle sizes below 10 μm incorporated and homogeneously distributed, a polymer starting material is input into a twin-screw extruder and is melted there to give a melt. In a conveying and mixing section, a suspension, which is formed of the fillers and of a carrier liquid, is injected into the melt. The melt viscosity is reduced by injection of the carrier liquid in the conveying and mixing section in that a cleavable polycondensate is used as polymer and low-molecular-weight cleavage product arising during the polycondensation is used as carrier liquid, and therefore the molten polymer is at least to some extent depolymerized within the conveying and mixing section. That the mixture, which is formed of the melt whose viscosity is reduced by cleavage, of the remainder of the carrier liquid and of the fillers, is homogenized.
Process for forming a powder
The present disclosure provides a process. The process includes (i) melt blending, in an extruder, (a) a polyolefin phase and (b) an aqueous phase in the presence of (c) at least one dispersant selected from an acrylic dispersant, a poloxamer dispersant, and combinations thereof; (ii) producing an interfacial tension from 0.1 dynes/cm to 25 dynes/cm; (iii) forming a polyolefin aqueous dispersion having from 25 wt % to 90 wt % solids content of dispersion; and (iv) removing the water from the polyolefin aqueous dispersion to form a powder. The powder has a mean volume average particle size from 10 μm to 300 μm, a sphericity from 0.92 to 1.0, a particle size distribution from 1 to less than 2, and a particle density from 98% to 100%.
COMPOSITION FOR USE IN AN ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING PROCESS
The present invention concerns a composition comprising at least one polymer, wherein the polymer is in the form of polymer particles, and wherein the composition contains at least one additive, wherein the additive is in a proportion of at most 2% by weight of the composition. Furthermore, the present invention concerns a method for the production of the composition in accordance with the invention, as well as a method for the production of an article comprising the composition in accordance with the invention. Finally, the present invention concerns the use of the composition in accordance with the invention.
Polymeric materials
A liquid formulation for addition to a polymeric material comprises a vehicle, an additive (e.g. a colourant) and carbonyl bis (1-caprolactan)). The liquid formulation may be used to colour melt spun fibre (e.g. PET or polyamide).
MELT DISPERSED COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to a composition comprising at least one polymer, the polymer being present in the form of polymer particles and the composition contains at least one water-soluble agent, wherein the water-soluble agent has a proportion of at most 1 wt. % to the composition. The present invention further relates to a method for producing the claimed composition according to the invention and to the use thereof.
