The present disclosure discloses a molten aluminum erosion resistant casting tip paint, the casting tip paint is formed by mixing magnesia-alumina spinel, alumina, magnesia, water, sodium tripolyphosphate and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, wherein the proportions of various raw materials for the casting tip paint are as follows: magnesia-alumina spinel of 40-50 wt %, alumina of 10-20 wt %, magnesia of 5-10 wt %, water of 20-40 wt %, sodium tripolyphosphate of 0-10 wt %, and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose of 0-10 wt %. The present disclosure also discloses a preparation method of a molten aluminum erosion resistant casting tip. The molten aluminum erosion resistant casting tip paint provided by the present disclosure can be evenly coated onto the inner wall of the casting tip, so as to form a compact molten aluminum erosion resistant coating, thereby preventing infiltration and erosion of the molten aluminum.
FLAME RETARDANT AND FIRE RESISTANT POLYOLEFIN COMPOSITION
The present invention is directed to a polyolefin composition which has flame retardant and/or fire resistant properties and is suitable as flame retardant and/or fire resistant layer of a wire or cable. The polyolefin composition of the present invention comprises an polyolefin homo- or copolymer, ground magnesium hydroxide having particle size distribution D.sub.50 of 1.5 to 5.0 m in an amount of 30 to 65 wt % based on the weight of the polyolefin composition, and a silicone fluid or gum in an amount of 0.1 to 20 wt % based on the weight of the polyolefin composition. The present invention is further directed to a wire or cable comprising one or more layers, wherein at least one layer thereof is obtained from the polyolefin composition of the present invention. Finally, the present invention is further directed to the use of a polyolefin composition of the present invention as a flame retardant layer of a wire or cable.
Nanoparticles of flame retardant magnesium hydroxide and method of production the same
The invention relates to chemical technologies, specifically nanoparticles of flame retardant magnesium hydroxide, and a process for the preparation thereof. The present nanoparticles of flame retardant magnesium hydroxide, including surface-processed nanoparticles, have a hexagonal plate-like structure with a specific surface area of up to 20 m.sup.2/g, an average diameter of the secondary particles of up to 2 m, a diameter of 10% of the secondary particles of up to 0.8 m, a diameter of 90% of the secondary particles of up to 5 m, with a longitudinal size of the primary particles of from 150 to 900 nm, and a thickness of from 15 to 150 nm.

A flame-retardant electric cable has a core including at least one electric conductor, an electrically insulating coating and an outermost layer made from a substantially thermoplastic, low smoke zero halogen flame-retardant polymer composition. The composition includes a polymeric base made of at least one polyethylene homopolymer or copolymer having a density of 0.94 g/cm.sup.3 at most. The composition further includes 60-64% by weight of a metal hydroxide, at least 2% by weight of an ammonium coated montmorillonite having average particle dimensions of from 5 to 20 m, and a polysiloxane. The cable has improved reaction to fire performances, especially reduced dripping or absence of dripping during burning, which render it compliant with the requirements of the more recent international standards.

A sealing acrylic resin composition contains a thermosetting acrylic resin in liquid phase, an organic peroxide, and an inorganic filler in a content proportion ranging from 50% by mass to 95% by mass, inclusive. A silane coupling agent is bonded to the inorganic filler, a total organic carbon content of the inorganic filler in proportion being ranging from 0.1% by mass to 1.0% by mass, inclusive, in a state before the inorganic filler is mixed with at least one of the thermosetting acrylic resin and the organic peroxide. The silane coupling agent has an acrylic group.
