A flame retardant compound is provided. The flame retardant compound includes a polymer base resin, a carbonific host compound, and a guest compound including at least one atom of a transition metal. The carbonific host compound and the guest compound form a host-guest complex, and the host-guest complex acts to inhibit at least one of smoke release and smoke formation when exposed to heat. The host-guest complex is distributed within the polymer base resin. An intumescent flame retardant compound is also provided. The intumescent flame retardant compound includes a base resin, an acid donor, a spumific agent, a cyclodextrin host compound, and a guest compound including at least one atom of molybdenum. The cyclodextrin host compound and the guest compound form a host-guest complex. The acid donor, carbonific host compound, and spumific agent react when exposed to a temperature above 280 C. to form a foam.

C., the far-infrared emissivity is greater than 98%, the radiation temperature rise is greater than 3.0? C., the CLO value is greater than 0.5, the heat transfer coefficient is greater than 18.0w/(m.sup.2k), and the thermal resistance is less than 0.05 (m.sup.2k)/w. The antibacterial rate against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans and pneumobacillus is greater than 99.0%.

Examples herein include prosthetic valves, valve leaflets and related methods. In an example, a prosthetic valve is included having a plurality of leaflets. The leaflets can each have a root portion and an edge portion substantially opposite the root portion and movable relative to the root portion. The leaflets can include a fibrous matrix including polymeric fibers having an average diameter of about 10 nanometers to about 10 micrometers. A coating can surround the polymeric fibers within the fibrous matrix. The coating can have a thickness of about 3 to about 30 nanometers. The coating can be formed of a material selected from the group consisting of a metal oxide, a nitride, a carbide, a sulfide, or fluoride. In an example, a method of making a valve is included.

According to the present invention, electronic components having low thermal expansion properties and excellent drilling processability and heat resistance, for example, a prepreg, a laminate plate, an interposer, etc., can be provided.

An antimony-free adhesive package useful for making an insulation facing material includes a halogenated latex adhesive, a flame/smoke suppressant such as aluminum trihydrate, an intumescent such as aluminum polyphosphate, melamine powder, a melamine cyanurate, a mold and mildew inhibitor, an optional dispersant, an optional water holding agent, and optionally between 3% and 10% of a zinc molybdate/magnesium silicate complex and between 3% and 10% of a zinc phosphate/zinc oxide complex. Insulation facing material made with the adhesive package has a flame spread value that does not exceed 25, and a smoke developed value that does not exceed 50, and meets the applicable standards for operating temperature, anti-corrosiveness, corrosion, puncture resistance, water vapor transmission, water vapor sorption, shrinkage, microbial growth resistance, and water immersion bond integrity. The facing stock may be used to face insulation products such as rolls, batts, boards or molds of fiberglass or mineral wool insulation.
