VINYL CHLORIDE RESIN COMPOSITION FOR POWDER MOLDING, VINYL CHLORIDE RESIN MOLDED PRODUCT, AND LAMINATE
Provided is a vinyl chloride resin composition for powder molding with which it is possible to form a vinyl chloride resin molded product having excellent alcohol resistance and low-temperature flexibility. The vinyl chloride resin composition for powder molding contains: (a) a vinyl chloride resin; and (b) a 3-methyl-1,5-pentanediol-sebacic acid polyester that includes a sebacic acid-derived structural unit and a 3-methyl-1,5-pentanediol-derived structural unit. The vinyl chloride resin composition for powder molding is preferably used for powder slush molding.
Stabilized Polyolefin Compositions Comprising Benzofuranones and Hindered Phenolic Antioxidants
Polyolefin compositions comprising i) a polyolefin, ii) one or more phosphorus-containing benzofuranone compounds and iii) one or more hindered phenolic antioxidants are provided excellent protection against discoloration and enhanced thermal stability during melt processing as exhibited by improved retention of molecular weight and maintenance of polymer molecular architecture.
Magnesium carbonate
Provided is a novel magnesium carbonate. The magnesium carbonate has a zeta potential of 5 mV or more and a BET specific surface area of 25 m.sup.2/g or more. Such a magnesium carbonate can be used as a resin additive, etc.
Flame retardant composition and flame-retardant resin composition containing same
A flame retardant composition containing a piperazine phosphate, a melamine phosphate, and an oil having a siloxane bond and a specific gravity of 0.930 to less than 0.970 at 25° C. The oil is present in an amount of 0.01 to 5 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the sum of the piperazine phosphate and the melamine phosphate. The flame retardant composition preferably further contains 0.01 to 5 parts by mass, per 100 parts by mass of the sum of the piperazine phosphate and the melamine phosphate, of a methylhydrogen silicone oil having hydrogen as part of the side chains of polysiloxane and a specific gravity of 0.970 to less than 1.01 at 25° C.
CALENDERED CELLULOSE ESTERS WITH LOW ACID GENERATION
The present application discloses a method of reducing acid and ester degradation products during calendering of cellulose ester containing plasticiser using certain additives such as primary antioxidants and metal alkanoate. The compositions comprising the additives exhibit significant reductions in acids and ester degradation products as compared to compositions not comprising the additives.
INFRARED RADIATION-EMITTING RESIN COMPOSITION
An infrared radiation-emitting resin composition includes an infrared radiation-emitting material and a resin. The infrared radiation-emitting material includes a titanium dioxide, a calcined hydrotalcite-like compound, and a nano-sized diamond. In the infrared radiation-emitting material, the mass ratio between the titanium dioxide and the calcined hydrotalcite-like compound is 60:40 to 90:10, while the content of the nano-sized diamond is 0.01 parts by mass or more and 0.5 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the sum of the titanium dioxide and the calcined hydrotalcite-like compound.
REINFORCED ELASTOMER COMPOSITION
A curable elastomer composition includes a crosslinkable polymer, and a filler selected from surface-reacted calcium carbonate, precipitated hydromagnesite, or a mixture thereof, wherein the surface-reacted calcium carbonate is a reaction product of natural ground calcium carbonate or precipitated calcium carbonate with carbon dioxide and one or more H.sub.3O.sup.+ ion donors, wherein the carbon dioxide is formed in situ by the H.sub.3O.sup.+ ion donors treatment and/or is supplied from an external source. Furthermore, the disclosure relates to a cured elastomer product formed from said composition, an article including the cured elastomer product, a method of producing a cured elastomer product, and use of the filler for reinforcing a cured elastomer product.
COATING COMPOSITION
Described herein is a building panel comprising a body having a first major surface opposite a second major surface and a side surface extending therebetween, a coating applied to at least one of the first major surface, the second major surface, or the side surface, the coating comprising a binder, and a pigment composition comprising titanium dioxide, an alkali metal silicate, and a clay; wherein the titanium dioxide is present in an amount ranging from about 3.0 wt. % to about 15.0 wt. % based on the total weight of the pigment composition.
Superabsorbent polymer and preparation method thereof
