SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REAL-TIME MONITORING OF BONE CORRECTION
Systems and methods to monitor and track the treatment of bones using a bone correction system are provided. The method includes implanting growth modulating implants of a bone correction system in two or more bones of a patient. Each growth modulating implant includes an implant body having at least one sensor device embedded in the implant body. The method includes receiving sensor data from the sensor devices and determining an operational status of the growth modulating implants, based on the received sensor data. The method includes determining, by the processor, a longitudinal growth or growth rate between the two or more bones, based on the received sensor data and causing a display device to selectively display a graphical user interface (GUI) representative of at least one of the longitudinal growth and the growth rate of the patient.
Surgical end effector assembly including a connector strip interconnecting a plurality of staples
A surgical staple cartridge is disclosed comprising a plurality of staples removably stored within the surgical staple cartridge. The staples comprise staple legs which extend from a staple base portion. The staple legs comprise staple tips configured to pierce tissue and contact a corresponding forming pocket of an anvil of surgical stapling instrument. The staples further comprise zones having different hardnesses.
Single use integrated speed reduction and gearless device
A single use integrated disposable rotational speed reduction assembly having a shaft assembly, a housing, an output assembly, and a plurality of planetary gears each having a plurality of gear teeth. The shaft assembly is configured to cause rotation of the planetary gears with a sun gear. The rotation of the planetary gears is configured to cause rotation of an output shaft, with a reduction of rotational speed relative to the rotation of the shaft assembly. One or more gear components or spacers can be configured to fail after a predetermined number of use cycles.
Pedicle screw system and method
A pedicle screw system and methods of using same, the system including a pedicle screw with a screw head and a rod support housing with a head capture opening surrounded by relief slots. The rod support housing has an interior gripping ridge and an exterior locking groove. Pressing the screw head into the head capture opening results in regions of the rod support housing between the relief slots flexing outwardly to allow the screw head to pass over the gripping ridge, and the regions to cease flexing outwardly after the screw head is seated within the rod support housing. Pressing a locking ring over the head capture opening causes regions of the rod support housing between the relief slots to flex inwardly and allow a locking tab of the locking ring to pass into the locking groove, after which the regions cease flexing inwardly.
SURGICAL STAPLING SYSTEMS
A method is disclosed. The method can comprise obtaining a first staple cartridge and obtaining a second staple cartridge, wherein the first staple cartridge and the second staple cartridge comprise the same length and the same width. The method can further comprise inserting the first staple cartridge into a channel comprising a keyed profile, wherein complete insertion of the first staple cartridge into the channel is prevented by the keyed profile. Additionally, the method can comprise inserting the second staple cartridge into the channel, wherein complete insertion of the second staple cartridge into the channel is permitted by the keyed profile.
CLIP UNIT AND CLIP DEVICE
Clip unit with a clip having a plurality of arms that can be opened and closed, a distal end connecting portion that is releasably connected to the clip, a proximal end connecting portion that is connected to a power transmission member; and a rod-shaped portion that longitudinally connects the distal end connecting portion and the proximal end connecting portion. In a cross-section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the rod-shaped portion has a first length in a first direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction that is shorter than a second length in a second direction perpendicular to both the longitudinal direction and the first direction.
Disposable integrated speed reduction and gearless high torque device
An integrated disposable rotational speed reduction assembly having a shaft assembly, a housing, an output assembly, and a plurality of planetary gears each having a plurality of gear teeth. The shaft assembly is configured to cause rotation of the planetary gears with a sun gear. The rotation of the planetary gears is configured to cause rotation of an output shaft, with a reduction of rotational speed relative to the rotation of the shaft assembly.
Tissue specimen removal device, system and method
A tissue specimen removal device comprises a specimen bag; a flexible ring, the flexible ring configured to form a top opening of the specimen bag; a cannula assembly comprising: an inner tube portion and an outer tube portion. The device may further comprise a connector carrier, the connector carrier configured to retain at least one connector housing, the at least one connector housing comprising one or more connector portions and reside within an interior of the connector carrier, and wherein the connector carrier can be moved from a position within the cannula assembly to outside the cannula assembly.
Pol y axial screw and locking cap
Systems, methods, and devices for securing a spinal rod are provided. A clamp assembly comprises a tulip comprising an opening comprising an inner surface, wherein the inner surface is threaded; and a threaded locking cap disposed in the opening, wherein threads of the locking cap and the inner surface include various geometries.
Method for anastomosing alimentary tract
A method for anastomosing an alimentary tract according to a first aspect of the invention includes a first step of inserting an endoscope into an alimentary tract through a natural opening in a state where a distal end part of a tube body is coupled to an outer periphery of a distal end part of the endoscope; a second step of making a hole in a tract wall of the alimentary tract; a third step of inserting the tube body through the hole; a fourth step of grasping the distal end part of the tube body disposed through the hole; a fifth step of separating the tube body from an outer periphery of the distal end part of the endoscope; and a sixth step of delivering the treatment part up to the hole after the fifth step.
