Multiphase conductive polymer composite compositions
A composition comprises a ternary-phase polymer composite including components (A) ethylene/unsaturated ester copolymers having γ.sup.ρ of from <5 to >1 mN/m; at least two additional polymers selected from the group consisting of: (B) non-polar polymers having γ.sup.ρ of from >0 to <1 mN/m selected from the group consisting of polyethylene homopolymers, silane-functionalized polyethylene homopolymers, ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymers, and silane-functionalized ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymers, (C) ethylene/unsaturated ester copolymers having a γ.sup.P of >5 mN/m, and (D) EPDM copolymers; and conductive filler dispersed in only one of (A) and the at least two additional polymers, wherein (i) one of the at least two additional polymers is selected from (B) and the other is selected from (C) or (D), or (ii) one of the at least two additional polymers is selected from (C) and the other is selected from (B) or (D).
RUBBER COMPOSITION AND TIRE THEREWITH
The present invention provides a rubber composition having superior moldability, wear resistance, and grip performance, and tires therewith. The present invention relates to a rubber composition comprising: a copolymer (B) constituted of a vinyl alcohol polymer (B-1) region and a diene polymer (B-2) region; and a rubber component (C), wherein the rubber composition comprises 1 to 20 parts by mass of the copolymer (B) relative to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component (C).
Biaxially drawn colored polyester film for laminating metal sheet
A biaxially drawn colored polyester film includes at least two layers: a surface layer (layer A) mainly composed of polyester having a melting point TmA of 230 to 260° C. and modified polyolefin wax, layer A having a polymer component with intrinsic viscosity of 0.46 or more, the modified polyolefin wax with an amount of 0.2 wt % or more based on the weight of the composition, coloring pigment with an amount of 10 wt % or less, and a water contact angle of less than 70° on an outer surface; and a substrate layer (layer B) mainly composed of polyester having a melting point TmB of 230 to 260° C. and coloring pigment, layer B having a polymer component with intrinsic viscosity of 0.46 or more and the coloring pigment with an amount of more than 10 wt % and 50 wt % or less; wherein |TmB−TmA| is 4° C. or less.
Alumina Products and Uses Thereof in Polymer Compositions with High Thermal Conductivity
Alumina products containing a fine particle size component and a coarse particle size component, and with specific particle size characteristics and irregular and non-spherical particle shapes, are disclosed. These alumina products can be used in polymer formulations to produce composites having high isotropic thermal conductivity.

A copolymer of a 1,3-diene and of an olefin selected from the group consisting of α-monoolefins, ethylene and mixtures thereof is provided. The copolymer bears, at one of its chain ends, an alkoxysilyl or silanol function, functional group F.sup.1, and the copolymer is different from a copolymer of a 1,3-diene and a vinylaromatic monomer.

A copolymer of a 1,3-diene and of an olefin selected from the group consisting of α-monoolefins, ethylene and mixtures thereof is provided. An aqueous dispersion of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymers suitable to be used as lacquer to realize a thin coating both for flexible or rigid substrates, characterized by excellent oxygen and carbon dioxide barrier performances especially under high humidity conditions. The dispersion comprises a first ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer in the form of capsules with an ethylene content comprised between 24 and 38 mol % and a second ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer with an ethylene content lower than 15 mol %.

An aqueous dispersion of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymers suitable to be used as lacquer to realize a thin coating both for flexible or rigid substrates, characterized by excellent oxygen and carbon dioxide barrier performances especially under high humidity conditions. The dispersion comprises a first ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer in the form of capsules with an ethylene content comprised between 24 and 38 mol % and a second ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer with an ethylene content lower than 15 mol %.
GAS-BARRIER RESIN COMPOSITION AND USE THEREOF
A gas-barrier resin (A) having an oxygen permeability coefficient of 1.0×10.sup.−14 (cm.sup.3.Math.cm/cm.sup.2.Math.s.Math.Pa) or less; and a copolymer (B) containing monomer structural units represented by the formula (1), the formula (2), and the formula (3):

where: R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R.sup.2 represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms that may be substituted with a halogen atom, a hydroxy group, an alkoxy group, or an amino group; 1, m, and n represent numerical values representing molar proportions of the respective monomer structural units, and n may represent 0; and p represents an integer of from 1 to 4, wherein a ratio of a mass of the copolymer (B) to a total mass of the gas-barrier resin (A) and the copolymer (B) is from 1 mass % to 40 mass %.
