A resin composition contains a maleimide compound (A), a cyanate ester compound (B), a polyphenylene ether compound (C) with a number average molecular weight of not lower than 1000 and not higher than 7000 and represented by Formula (1), and a block copolymer (D) having a styrene backbone. In Formula (1), X represents an aryl group; (YO)n.sub.2- represents a polyphenylene ether moiety; R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, or an alkynyl group; n.sub.2 represents an integer of from 1 to 100; n.sub.1 represents an integer of from 1 to 6; and n.sub.3 represents an integer of from 1 to 4.

THERMALLY CONDUCTIVE THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITIONS WITH GOOD DIELECTRIC PROPERTY AND THE SHAPED ARTICLE THEREFORE
A polymer composition includes: from about 20 wt. % to about 80 wt. % of a polymer base resin; from about 10 wt. % to about 60 wt. % of a thermally conductive filler; and from about 5 wt. % to about 60 wt. % of a dielectric ceramic filler having a Dk of at least 20 when measured at 1.1 GHz or greater. The polymer composition exhibits a dielectric constant greater than 3.0 at 1.1 GHz when tested using a split post dielectric resonator and network analyzer on a sample size of 120 mm by 120 mm and 6 mm thickness according to ASTM D150. The polymer composition exhibits a dissipation factor of less than 0.002 at 1.1 GHz when tested using a split post dielectric resonator and network analyzer on a sample size of 120 mm by 120 mm and 6 mm thickness according to ASTM D150.
Multilayer water pipe for mining operations
A multilayer water pipe for mining operations has an outer layer and an inner layer. The inner layer of the multilayer water pipe includes a composition containing a poly(phenylene ether), a hydrogenated block copolymer of an alkenyl aromatic monomer and a conjugated diene, optionally, a homopolystyrene, a rubber-modified polystyrene, or a combination comprising at least one of the foregoing, and a flame retardant comprising an organophosphate ester. The outer layer of the multilayer water pipe includes a composition containing a high density polyethylene, an antistatic agent, a flame retardant, and a flame retardant synergist. The multilayer water pipe exhibits a desirable balance of impact strength, tensile strength, burst pressure resistance, static pressure resistance, flame retardancy, and outer surface electrical resistance.
Component for telecommunication apparatus
The present disclosure is directed to a component for a telecommunication apparatus, the component comprising a molded product made of a resin composition. The resin composition comprises (a) a matrix resin and (b) titanium dioxide. The (A) matrix resin comprises (A-a) a polyphenylene ether-based resin. The sum of the contents of the (A-a) polyphenylene ether-based resin, and (A-b) a block copolymer containing at least one block mainly composed of an aromatic vinyl monomer unit and at least one block mainly composed of a conjugated diene monomer unit and/or a hydrogenated product of the block copolymer with respect to 100 parts by mass of the (A) matrix resin is 75 parts by mass or more. The average L/D of the (B) titanium dioxide is 1.2 or more and 6.0 or less, and the content of titanium dioxide having an L/D of greater than 7.0 is less than 10%.

Resin composition and uses of the same
A resin composition is provided. The resin composition comprises: (a) a resin of formula (I): ##STR00001## (b) a nonpolar elastomer containing vinyl group, wherein the content of the vinyl group is no more than 60%; and (c) a peroxide as a polymerization initiator, wherein, R1, R2, A1, A2, and n are as defined in the specification; and the content of component (b) is about 2% to about 100% based on the weight of component (a), and the content of component (c) is about 0.01% to about 10% based on the total weight of component (a) and component (b).
Composition containing a polyaryletherketone and low naphthenic liquid crystalline polymer
A polymer composition that contains a polyaryletherketone and a liquid crystalline polymer that includes repeating units derived from naphthenic hydroxycarboxylic acids, naphthenic dicarboxylic acids, or a combination thereof in an amount of about 15 mol. % or less of the polymer is provided. The composition optionally contains reinforcing fibers in an amount of no more than about 10 wt. %.

Purification of a poly(phenylene ether) includes contacting a liquid feed solution with a hydrated acidic clay adsorbent under conditions effective to provide a liquid effluent solution. The liquid feed solution includes a poly(phenylene ether), an organic acid impurity, and an amine impurity. The weight average molecular weight of the poly(phenylene ether) of the liquid effluent solution is within 1 percent of the weight average molecular weight of the poly(phenylene ether) of the feed solution, and the concentration of the amine impurity and the organic acid impurity of the liquid effluent solution is reduced by at least 40 percent relative to the concentration of the each impurity in the feed solution. Compositions and articles comprising a purified poly(phenylene ether) are also described.
RESIN COMPOSITION AND MOLDED ARTICLE
A resin composition contains, per 100 parts by mass of a resin ingredient composed of 10 to 60 parts by mass of a polyphenylene ether resin and 90 to 40 parts by mass of a polyamide resin: 0.01 to 1.0 parts by mass of a compatibilizer; 0.01 to 1.0 parts by mass of a phenolic antioxidant represented by formula (1); 0.01 to 1.0 parts by mass of a phosphorus-containing antioxidant; and 0.01 to 1.0 parts by mass of an amine-based antioxidant, having a mass ratio given by phenolic antioxidant represented by formula (1)/phosphorus-containing antioxidant/amine-based antioxidant of 1/0.1 to 2.0/0.1 to 2.0.
