The present invention relates to a flame retardant resin composition having excellent flame retardancy and improved thermal deformation properties, and a flame retardant resin molded article manufactured therefrom, and provides a flame retardant resin composition including a) a base resin including a polyarylene ether-based polymer; an aromatic vinyl-based polymer and a copolymer of vinylcyan monomer-conjugated diene monomer-aromatic vinyl monomer; b) an organophosphorus-based flame retardant; c) a hypophosphite compound; and d) a sulfur-containing compound including at least two sulfur atoms, wherein b) the organophosphorus-based flame retardant, c) the hypophosphite compound and d) the sulfur-containing compound are included in a weight ratio of 15 to 24:2 to 4:2 to 5.

A method is provided for forming an adhered membrane roof system that meets Factory Mutual (FM) 4470/4474 standards for wind uplift. A rubber composition is based on at least one predominant vinylaromatic diene elastomer, a reinforcing filler, a crosslinking system and a thermoplastic resin comprising optionally substituted polyphenylene ether units, said resin having a compatibility with said vinylaromatic diene elastomer such that a mixture of said vinylaromatic diene elastomer and said resin creates a composition having less than 10% of its volume in the form of particles greater than 2 micrometres in size. The present invention relates to a poly(arylene ether) resin composition and a cable coated with the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a poly(arylene ether) resin composition, including 20 to 40% by weight of a poly(arylene ether) resin, 15 to 35% by weight of a low-molecular weight styrene-based block copolymer having a weight-average molecular weight of 90,000 g/mol or less, 10 to 30% by weight of a high-molecular weight styrene-based block copolymer having a weight-average molecular weight of 95,000 g/mol or more, 1 to 20% by weight of a flame retardant, and 0 to 20% by weight of an additive.

In accordance with the present invention, a poly(arylene ether) resin composition having superior flame retardancy, tensile strength, flexibility, extrusion processability, elongation, and appearance characteristics and a cable coated with the same are provided.

A resin composition is provided. The resin composition comprises: (A) a compound having a structure of formula (I), ##STR00001## wherein R.sub.1 is an organic group; and (B) a vinyl-containing elastomer, wherein the weight ratio of the compound having the structure of formula (I) to the vinyl-containing elastomer is 20:1 to 1:1.
