Provided is a guide assembly for guiding a bone cutting tool through a small incision in the skin near the bone that allows movement of the cutting tool in the bone in a wide angle while the cutting tool is rotated about a pivot point that is located at the small incision. The guide assembly includes a 2-piece construction that includes a guide component that holds the cutting tool and a track component having a semicircular arc shape on which the guide component is slidably engaged whereby sliding the guide component along the track component guides the movement of the cutting tool to rotate about a pivot point that is the center of curvature of the semicircular arc shape of the track component.

A compliant component of the handle places the handle components in tension, thereby absorbing built-in axial looseness in the handle. The handle further includes a spin cavity which allows for free spin of the inserter shaft to finalize insertion of the anchor into bone when the anchor has not been fully seated flush with or below the cortical bone surface.

A parallel spacer for parallel spacing of a plurality of guiding elements during surgery is provided. The parallel spacer includes a parallel spacer body defining a first guide aperture extending through the parallel spacer body, the first guide aperture being sized to receive a first guiding element in a first orientation with respect to the parallel spacer body and hold the guiding element at the first orientation. The body further defines a second guide aperture extending through the parallel spacer body, sized to receive an access needle. The parallel spacer further includes a first external positioning protrusion, with the first guide aperture extending through the first external positioning protrusion, and a second external positioning protrusion, with the second guide aperture extending therethrough. The second guide aperture is open from a proximal end of the parallel spacer body to a distal end of the second external positioning protrusion.

Some embodiments may further comprise one or more non-tapering portions. The probe may further comprise a distal tip extending from a shelf or ledge that may allow for penetration of the tip therethrough with a first force and be configured to inhibit further advancement of the probe by requiring a second force substantially greater than the first force to achieve further advancement.

Replaceable inner tube

In some embodiments a PEG feeding device includes a tube sized to bridge a channel between a stomach and an outer abdominal surface; an internal bolster, and an external bolster. Optionally the bolsters are connected to the tube. The internal bolster may be sized to resist movement out of the stomach through the stoma. The external bolster may be sized to resist movement into the stoma from the outer abdominal surface. The external bolster may include an underside which extends from the tube in a radial direction between the external bolster and the outer abdominal surface. The underside of the outer bolster may contact the outer abdominal surface at a distance from an external opening of the stoma. Optionally the distance between the internal bolster and the external bolster is adjustable. Optionally an angle between one or both of the bolsters and the tube is adjustable.

The method further includes determining, based on a response to the tracking beams received from a sensor on the interventional medical device, a location of the sensor in the patient.

An example method includes obtaining, a virtual model of a portion of an anatomy of a patient obtained from a virtual surgical plan for an orthopedic joint repair surgical procedure to attach a prosthetic to the anatomy; identifying, based on data obtained by one or more sensors, positions of one or more physical markers positioned relative to the anatomy of the patient; and registering, based on the identified positions, the virtual model of the portion of the anatomy with a corresponding observed portion of the anatomy.
