SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATING PROSTATE DISORDERS

A system for monitoring a volume of a bladder during a surgical procedure. The system includes one or more processors; and a memory that is communicatively coupled to the one or more processors and stores one or more sequences of instructions, which when executed by one or more processors causes steps to be performed comprising: receiving information of a maximum volume of the bladder before the surgical procedure; receiving one or more ultrasound images from an ultrasonic scanner; based on the one or more ultrasound images, determining a volume of the bladder; comparing a maximum volume of the bladder to the determined volume of the bladder; and responsive to a difference between the maximum volume and determine volume of the bladder exceeding a threshold, issuing a warning associated with the difference.

Surgical grasping instrument

Recovery system for N20

A system for the recovery of expanded refrigerant from a cryotreatment system for storage and disposal may generally include first fluid flow path having a first compressor and a fluid recovery reservoir, and a closed-loop second fluid flow path having a thermal exchange device that is in thermal communication with the fluid recovery reservoir, a second compressor, and a condenser. The first fluid flow path may include a primary refrigerant from a cryotreatment system and the closed-loop second fluid flow path may contain a secondary refrigerant for cooling the primary refrigerant within the fluid recovery reservoir. The refrigerant recovery conduit may be in fluid communication with both the cryotreatment system and a medical facility scavenging system. The refrigerant recovery conduit and the cryotreatment system may be located within the same cryotreatment console.

Treating prostate disorders

A system for controlling a pressure inside a bladder through an endoscope, where the distal end portion of the endoscope is located inside the bladder and the endoscope has an inlet port through which fluid to enter the bladder and an outlet port through which fluid in the bladder to exit the bladder. The system includes one or more processors that receive a first signal from a first pressure sensor installed in a first fluid passageway that is in fluid communication with the inlet port; receives a second signal from a second pressure sensor installed in a second fluid passageway that is in fluid communication with the outlet port; and based on at least one of the first and second signals, actuates a valve installed in the first fluid passageway of fluid so as to adjust the flow rate into the bladder through the inlet port.

Indexing dose dispensing device

A dispensing device is disclosed which provides for dispensing multiple doses from a cylindrical volume. An actuator button moves a tooth to engage a series of links which move a stopper to dispense the doses.

Apparatus and method for delivering ablative laser energy and determining the volume of tumor mass destroyed
10765342 · 2020-09-08 · ·

An apparatus and method for determining a volume of tissue mass destroyed. The present invention includes a temperature probe and a laser probe having a temperature sensor. The laser probe and temperature probe are inserted to measure a temperature of the tissue mass and a temperature of tissue mass surrounding the tissue mass. By determining the volume of tissue mass destroyed, a graphical representation of the volume of tissue mass destroyed is provided whereby real-time visual monitoring of the destruction of the tissue mass is achieved.
