A phthalocyanine compound a photosensitive resin composition including the same, a photosensitive resin layer produced using the photosensitive resin composition, a color filter including the photosensitive resin layer, and a display device including the color filter, the phthalocyanine compound exhibiting a shortest wavelength of a full width at half maximum (FWHM) with respect to a maximum absorption wavelength in a range of about 600 nm to about 620 nm.
PIGMENT DISPERSION
Fluid concentrates, colorants and coating compositions contain solid pigment particles dispersed in a nonvolatilizing, reactive liquid diluent having a viscosity less than 1,000 cps and containing at least one molecular species having at least three reactive unsaturated sites. The reactive liquid diluent may serve as one or more of a dispersing medium for the solid pigment particles, a carrier, a coalescent and a humectant, and may crosslink or otherwise cure to form an interpenetrating polymer network in, or crosslink with, a pigmented coating composition containing a film-forming polymeric binder. Embodiments of the reactive liquid diluent can provide colorants and coating compositions having reduced levels of VOCs, conventional carriers, conventional dispersants, conventional coalescents and conventional humectants.
Styrene Maleamide Block Copolymer Pigment Dispersant
Polymeric block copolymer dispersants made by controlled radical polymerization are disclosed that include polyacrylate solubilizing segments and styrene-maleic anhydride particulate anchoring segments. Desirably, a large percentage of the maleic anhydride units are reacted with an aminic reactant of 4 to 30 carbon atoms with 2 to 10 nitrogen atoms wherein at least one nitrogen is primary and the other is tertiary or three times bonded to carbon atoms.

A copolymer useful as an ingredient of a colored resin composition, comprising a structural unit derived from an aromatic carboxylic acid having an ethylenically unsaturated bond, a structural unit (Ab) represented by formula (Z), and a structural unit (Ac) derived from an unsaturated compound having a cyclic ether structure having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, wherein L represents a single bond or a divalent linking group, A represents a phenyl group optionally having a substituent other than a carboxy group or a naphthyl group optionally having a substituent other than a carboxy group, R.sup.a represents a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and a hydrogen atom contained in the alkyl group is optionally replaced by a hydroxy group.

AQUEOUS DISPERSION OF COLORED PARTICLES
Provided is an aqueous dispersion of colored particles suitable for colorants for writing instrument inks, inkjet inks, painting materials, aqueous coatings, and the like. The aqueous dispersion of colored particles includes a polymer having at least a unit of a monomer derived from a dye having a polymerizable unsaturated group. The monomer derived from the dye is preferably derived from the compound represented by General Formula (1) below:

Y.sub.2 represents O or NR.sub.10, where R.sub.10 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group,

DARK-COLORED AND INFRARED-REFLECTIVE FIBER WITHOUT METAL COMPOSITION, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF, AND TEXTILE
A dark-colored and infrared-reflective fiber without metal composition, a manufacturing method thereof, and a dark-colored and infrared-reflective textile are provided. The dark-colored and infrared-reflective fiber includes a polymer resin material and an organic azo pigment. The organic azo pigment is dispersed in the polymer resin material in the form of a plurality of micro particles. The organic azo pigment has an average particle size between 0.2 micrometers and 4 micrometers and a heat-resistant temperature of not less than 300 C. The organic azo pigment has an infrared reflectance of not less than 50% in an infrared wavelength range between 780 nm and 2,500 nm.
RADIATION-CURABLE COMPOSITIONS OF PIGMENT VIOLET 23 WITH IMPROVED REMOVABILITY FROM SURFACES, METHOD OF MAKING A RADIATION-CURABLE COMPOSITION AND INK CONTAINING A RADIATION-CURABLE COMPOSITION
Radiation-curable compositions of Pigment Violet 23 are described which can be used advantageously in UV inks for inkjet printing machines. Soiling containing such UV inks, especially within inkjet printing machines, can be removed particularly easily in a contactless procedure with conventional cleaners. The radiation-curable compositions described contain at least one modified Pigment Violet 23 which carries at least one polar functional group of the formula (I):
X-E (I) where X is a bridging group and E is a polar molecule radical.
COLORANT-CONTAINING SOLID MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COLORANT-CONTAINING SOLID MATERIAL
A colorant-containing solid material (1) of the present invention includes a colorant (10) and a matrix (20). The matrix (20) is formed of a silica and a polysilsesquioxane and covers the colorant (10). An absorption intensity derived from a hydrocarbon group that is not directly bonded to a silicon atom, an absorption intensity derived from a bond between a silicon atom and a non-reactive functional group, and an absorption intensity derived from a bond between a silicon atom and a hydroxy group, determined by an infrared spectroscopic analysis based on a KBr pellet method using a Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer, are denoted as Ia, Ib and Ic, respectively. The colorant-containing solid material (1) satisfies at least one of conditions Ib/Ia1.1 and Ib/Ic0.6.
Conductive surface coating based on modified and unmodified particles and method of preparation thereof
Conductive coating compositions and methods of preparation and application thereof are provided, whereby a mixture of conductive polymer encapsulated particles and non-encapsulated particles are employed to provide a conductive surface coating with controllable viscosity and conductivity. The particles may be filler and/or pigment particles such as calcium carbonate or clay, a portion of which are coated with a conductive polymer such as polypyrrole. Encapsulated particles are prepared and filtered, mixed with non-encapsulated particles, and subsequently combined with a binder for application to a surface or substrate such as paper. A dispersant may be included to obtain a suitable viscosity of the mixture prior to application. The relative concentrations of the encapsulated and non-encapsulated particles may be selected to tailor the resulting conductivity of the coating.
COLORED RESIN COMPOSITION
Provided is a colored resin composition excellent in storage stability. The colored resin composition according to the present invention is a colored resin composition comprising a colorant, a resin and a solvent, the colorant comprising a dye, the solvent comprising a first solvent which is propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate, and a second solvent which is a ketone having 3 to 12 carbon atoms, and the ketone being a chain or branched saturated ketone comprising only an oxygen atom of a carbonyl group as a heteroatom.
