Cranial immobilization system
The present invention relates to a head immobilization system for immobilizing a patient's head in a supine position of the patient, the system comprising: a support rail structure adapted to be coupled to a patient rest and extending at least on both lateral sides of the patient's head, a mask frame adapted to be coupled to at least one deformable upper mask sheet, wherein the mask frame is releasably connected to the support rail structure via a first interface section and a second interface section, with at least two pins protruding from the first interface section in a first direction, and at least two pin-receptions provided at the second interface section, wherein each one of the pin-receptions receives one of the pins, and a catch-mechanism for each pin-reception and each corresponding pin, which allows the pin to be pushed further into the pin-reception in the first direction, but which interlocks in case of an attempted withdrawal of the pin from the pin-reception in a second, opposite direction.

Orthopedic fixation strut swapping
A plurality of three-dimensional fixator graphical representations may include graphical indications of a strut swap range. A plurality of replaced strut graphical representations may change from a first rendering state in a swap start fixator graphical representation to a second rendering state in a swap end fixator graphical representation. A plurality of replacement graphical representations may change from the second rendering state in the swap start fixator graphical representation to the first rendering state in the swap end fixator graphical representation. In some examples, the plurality of replaced strut graphical representations may gradually fade out from a swap start stage to a swap end stage, and the plurality of replacement strut graphical representations may gradually fade in from a swap start stage to a swap end stage. Additionally, a treatment plan including at least one interfamily strut swap may be generated for manipulating a fixator to correct a deformity.

Head Stabilization Device Tensioning Feature and Method of Use
A head stabilization device useable for stabilizing a head of a patient during a medical procedure includes a modular design where stabilization assemblies of various configurations are interchangeable at receiving portions along a frame. The device includes a tensioning feature positioned away from the stabilization assembly but still operable to increase or decrease an amount of force the stabilization assembly applies to the patient's head. The device includes a locking feature for a stabilization assembly having a rotatable member having one or more stabilization features connected thereto. The device includes an adjustment feature to adjust a spacing between frame members with the adjustment feature providing a continuous range of adjustment rather than finite adjustment increments.
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) methods and apparatus
Method and devices are provided for treating subjects with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). According to some approaches, the methods and devices are configured for the treatment of ongoing seizures. Other approaches relate to the use of TMS as an antiepileptogenic or for use in determining preferential placement of intracranial probes.
Surgical robot platform
A medical robot system, including a robot coupled to an effectuator element with the robot configured for controlled movement and positioning. The system may include a transmitter configured to emit signals, and the transmitter is coupled to an instrument coupled to the effectuator element. The system may further include a motor assembly coupled to the robot and a plurality of receivers configured to receive the signals emitted by the transmitter. A control unit is coupled to the motor assembly and the plurality of receivers, and the control unit is configured to supply instruction signals to the motor assembly. The instruction signals can be configured to cause the motor assembly to selectively move the effectuator element and is further configured to (i) calculate a position of the transmitter; (ii) display the position of the at least one transmitter; and (iii) selectively control actuation of the motor assembly.
Surgical robot platform
A medical robot system, including a robot coupled to an effectuator element with the robot configured for controlled movement and positioning. Medical head holder
A medical head holder includes at least two opposing engagement members configured to engage the head of a patient, a frame, connector and coupling members, and a force applicator. The frame includes first and second frame sections which are displaceably coupled with each other, wherein each frame section supports at least one of the engagement members. The connecting member guides the first and second frame sections for displacement relative to each other, and selectively detachably fixes the frame sections with each other. The coupling member is selectively fixed to the second frame section and displaceably couples the second engagement member with the second frame section. The force applicator is detachably coupled to the second frame section and acts on the coupling member so as to cause the second engagement member to be displaced and/or fixed relative to the second frame section.
