Inorganic filler dispersion, superhydrophobic insulating and wear-resistant coating and preparation method thereof
The disclosure relates to the technical field of inorganic filler and superhydrophobic coating, and in particular, to an inorganic filler dispersion, a superhydrophobic insulating and wear-resistant coating and preparation methods thereof. The inorganic filler dispersion is formed by a primary modification of the micro-nano-meter sized inorganic filler composed of a mixture of a nanometer sized inorganic filler and a submicron-meter sized inorganic filler with a hydrophobic silane coupling agent, and a secondary modification of the primary modified micro-nano-meter sized inorganic filler in an organic solvent with a hydrophobic hydroxy-terminated blocking agent and a catalyst. The inorganic filler dispersion and the hydroxyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane and other components are ground to obtain a pre-coating mixture, which can be used as reinforcing component and mixed evenly with the latent curing agent and the solvent to obtain a one-component superhydrophobic insulating and wear-resistant coating.
SURFACE TREATMENT METHOD FOR GLASS AND RESIN SUBSTRATES
Provided is a water-repellent member in which a silica layer having a specific thickness and mainly composed of silica nanoparticles is provided on the outer surfaces of various substrates, and then a water- and oil-repellent layer having a specific thickness and containing a cured product of a fluorine-containing organosilicon compound as a main component is provided on the outer surface of the silica layer. The water-repellent member is obtained by a method comprising: a step for wet coating a dispersion containing silica nanoparticles and a solvent onto the outer surface of a substrate; a step for drying and removing the solvent from the dispersion; a step for wet coating a solution containing a fluorine-containing organosilicon compound and a solvent onto the outer surface of a silica layer formed by drying and removing the solvent; and a step for drying and removing the solvent from the solution to cure the fluorine-containing organosilicon compound. According to the water-repellent member, a water- and oil-repellent coating having excellent abrasion resistance can be reliably and easily applied to various substrates.

POLYMERIC COATINGS FOR METAL SURFACES
Polymer compositions for coating of metal surfaces including moieties that interact with a metal atom in the metal surface and optionally containing antifoulant moieties. These polymer compositions provide lubricious coatings for medical devices, anticorrosion coatings for metal components, and antifoulant coatings for marine components such as propellers. The polymer composition is synthesized in a safe manner in which the synthesis components are added to a synthesis vat and there is no need for filtration or removal of waste materials in any step including the consumer use. As such this invention provides an environmentally sound approach to composition synthesis, formulation development, and consumer use.
