The negative electrode includes a negative electrode current collector and a coating layer on the negative electrode current collector. The coating layer includes a carbon-based material and a metal particle. The metal particle includes a lithiophilic metal. An average particle diameter of the metal particle is in a range of about 10 nm to about 200 nm. A standard deviation of a particle diameter of the metal particle is equal to or less than about 50% of the average particle diameter.
