Three-dimensional object formation powder material, three-dimensional object formation material set, and three-dimensional object production method
Provided is a three-dimensional object formation powder material used for three-dimensional object formation of forming a three-dimensional object by stacking up a plurality of powder material layers each bound by a resin and having a predetermined shape. The three-dimensional object formation powder material contains particles in which a plurality of cores are fixed by a water-soluble resin.
STABILIZING METHODS FOR COATING SEEDS WITH BIOLOGICAL MATERIALS
The present invention provides a method for coating seeds with biological materials such as bacteria, fungi (e.g., yeasts and molds), parasites, recombinant vectors, and viruses. The method comprises (a) applying a moistening liquid to seeds to moisten seeds, wherein the moistening liquid comprises a moistening polymer, and (b) coating the moistened seeds with an effective amount of a dry composition, wherein the dry composition comprises biological materials, one or more disaccharides, one or more oligosaccharides, one or more polysaccharides, one or more carboxylic acid salts, and one or more hydrolyzed proteins. The coated seeds may have an initial water activity (Aw) below 0.4, and the microorganisms on the coated seeds have initial viability of at least 5 logs of colony forming units per gram of seeds (CFU/g seed). Also provided are coated seeds.

Functionalization of cellulose with lignin to produce high-value products
The present invention concerns a process for the covalent attachment of lignin to cellulose in aqueous solutions, which process is characterized by preparing an aqueous mixture of lignin particles modified with tall oil fatty acids (TOFA), and reacting these TOFA-modified lignin particles with cellulose particles. The obtained modified cellulose particles are biodegradable, and have antimicrobial properties, whereby they are suitable for use in antibacterial textile surfaces (sportswear, medical textiles), tissue adhesives and as porous carriers in drug delivery. Further, the material is useful in high-volume products, such as adhesives and dispersants.
