360 DEGREES PLUS ROTATION CAMERA MODULE FOR SURGICAL LIGHT HEAD HANDLE
A surgical lighting system and a method of rotating a camera of a surgical lighting system includes a light head housing including a plurality of light emitting elements arranged to emit light downward to a region of interest, a handle mounted to and protruding downward from the light head housing, the handle including a handle housing having a sufficient size to be gripped by the human hand, and a camera assembly mounted within the handle housing and including a camera having a field of view that encompasses at least a portion of the region of interest. The camera assembly is mounted within the handle housing for rotation greater than 360 degrees about a rotation axis from a first stop to a second stop and vice versa. The first stop limits clockwise rotation of the camera and the second stop limits counterclockwise rotation of the camera.
Surgical lighting system sterile field encroachment indicator
A sterile field encroachment indicator apparatus for a surgical lighting system includes one or more encroachment indicators, one or more sensor units, and one or more controllers. The encroachment indicators are configured to indicate encroachment of a predetermined proximity to a surgical lighthead by a foreign entity and contact of the encroaching foreign entity with the surgical lighthead. The surgical lighthead is configured to provide illumination in order to illuminate a surgical environment. The sensor units are positioned in the surgical lighthead, and are configured to sense proximity of the foreign entity to the surgical lighthead and the contact of the encroaching foreign entity with the surgical lighthead. The controllers are configured to control the encroachment indicators based on the sensed proximity of the foreign entity to the surgical lighthead and the sensed contact of the foreign entity with the surgical lighthead.
PENDANT DEVICE AND PATIENT TREATMENT AND REPORTING METHOD
Disclosed is a pendant device particularly used in emergency services of all hospitals, allowing health staff move more comfortably in resuscitation room, speeding up the procedure time of caring patient, providing more effective and faster production of patient reports, and a patient treatment reporting method achieved by use of the pendant device.
HANDLE ASSEMBLY FOR ACCESSORY OF MEDICAL DEVICE SUPPORT SYSTEM
A handle assembly for an accessory of a medical device support system. The handle assembly includes a handle, an interface device, a conductive coating, and a connector. The interface device is in an outer surface of a generally tubular section of a handle housing of the handle and is configured to receive an input or transmit an output associated with the medical device support system. The conductive coating is on the inner surface of the generally tubular section and is configured to transmit one or more of power, ground, control signals, and communication signals corresponding to the input or the output of the interface device. The connector is connected to the conductive coating and is configured to transmit the one or more of the power, ground, control signals, and communication signals from the conductive coating to another part of the accessory and/or the medical device support system.
Medical lighting device with a system for assisting with correct positioning
A medical lighting device for illuminating an operating area has an overhead light providing axial illumination and is movably mounted over the operating area and movable manually towards or away from the operating area, and a system for assisting adjustment of a proper lighting position for the overhead light relative to the operating area in such a manner as to position the overhead light at a predetermined distance from the operating area. The system comprises a first light source for generating a first light beam and a second light source for generating a second light beam, the light sources arranged on the overhead light in angularly offset positions so that the first and second light beams converge at a point on the operating area when the predetermined distance is reached, and otherwise when not at that distance the two light beams form two light spots that are disjoint.
Adaptive lighting array with image-based control
A light assembly is configured to selectively illuminate an operating region in a surgical suite. The assembly comprises a plurality of lighting modules comprising a plurality of light sources configured to emit light. The assembly further comprises at least one imager configured to capture image data disposed in at least one of the lighting modules. An articulating head assembly is configured to support each of the lighting modules. The articulating head assembly comprises a plurality of actuators configured to rotate each of the lighting modules about a first axis and a second axis. The assembly further comprises a controller. The controller is configured to scan the image data for at least one region of interest comprising at least one of a shaded region and a contaminated region.
LIGHT INSTRUMENT FOR ILLUMINATING THE INTRAOCULAR SPACE
A device (2) for an ophthalmological illumination system (1) comprising a light instrument (3) for illuminating the intraocular space of a human or animal eye (33) comprises a housing (4) having a proximal housing end (5), a distal housing end (6), and an opening (7) in the proximal housing end (5). The housing (4) delimits a receptacle space (8), which extends in a manner proceeding from the opening (7) in the proximal housing end (5) along a longitudinal direction (L) in the direction of the distal housing end (6). The receptacle space (8) is configured for receiving the light instrument (3) through the opening (7) in the proximal housing end (5). The housing (4) comprises at least one translucent material at least in the region (10) of the distal housing end (6).
SURGICAL LIGHT AND USES THEREOF
Provided herein are surgical lighting devices, systems, and methods. In particular, provided herein are sterile surgical lights and uses thereof.
Medical retractor
A medical retractor is capable of ensuring visibility in a field of operation and in the periphery of the field of operation while realizing the reduction of weight of the retractor compared to a conventional steel-made retractor. A medical retractor includes: a grip portion; and a resin functional portion made of a transparent resin and extending from the grip portion. The resin functional portion has: a trunk portion which has a proximal end thereof connected to the grip portion; and a hook-shaped portion extending in a hook shape from a distal end of the trunk portion. The resin functional portion is configured to allow the viewing of an affected part which opposedly faces a back surface of the resin functional portion from a front surface side in a see-through manner.
Oximeter with marking feature
A medical device such as an oximeter includes a marking feature. In an implementation, a marking mechanism of the device marks tissue based on a location of where a measurement was taken by the device. In an implementation, the marking mechanism of the device marks tissue based on an oxygen saturation measurement obtained by the device.
