COMPOSITION FOR THE PREPARATION OF AN ADHESIVE PRODUCT
20180312733 · 2018-11-01 ·

The invention relates to an adhesive composition comprising: at least one hydrocarbon resin in an amount of at most 40% by weight with respect to the total weight of the composition; at least one polyolefin derived from the polymerization of ethylene and/or propylene with metallocene catalysis having a density in the range from 0.8 to 0.9 g/cm.sup.3, and; ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer in an amount of at most 15% by weight with respect to the weight of the composition. Such adhesive composition allows preparing a ready-to-use adhesive product, applicable by rubbing and which does not require packaging during use.

The present disclosure provides an article. The article includes a first substrate comprising a first propylene-based polymer and a second substrate comprising a second propylene-based polymer. The article includes an adhesive composition located between the first substrate and the second substrate. The adhesive composition includes (A) a block composite compatibilizer, (B) an ethylene-based polymer or a propylene-based polymer, (C) a tackifier, and (D) a wax. The adhesive composition bonds the first substrate to the second substrate with improved a lap shear strength.
