Software center and highly configurable robotic systems for surgery and other uses
Telerobotic, telesurgical, and/or surgical robotic devices, systems, and methods employ surgical robotic linkages that may have more degrees of freedom than an associated surgical end effector in space. A processor can calculate a tool motion that includes pivoting of the tool about an aperture site. Linkages movable along a range of configurations for a given end effector position may be driven toward configurations which inhibit collisions. Refined robotic linkages and methods for their use are also provided.
Case display apparatus, case displaying method, and storage medium background to seamlessly present diagnostic images captured at different times for comparative reading
A user input obtainer receives an image movement instruction including identification information specifying a position shift or an image capture time shift to be performed and also including a displacement amount. When the identification information specifies the position shift, a slice position selector determines a tomographic image at a destination of the position shift based on the displacement amount from a set of tomographic images captured at the same time. On the other hand, when the identification information specifies the image capture time shift, the image capture time selector determines a tomographic image at a destination of the shift based on the displacement amount from sets of tomographic images that are identical to each other in terms of a patient, an examination portion, and a modality. A displaying image obtainer reads out the determined tomographic image from an image storage device and gives it to a display information generator.
Surgical guidance intersection display
A system and method for providing image guidance for placement of one or more medical devices at a target location. The system can determine one or more intersections between a medical device and an image region based at least in part on first emplacement data and second emplacement data. Using the determined intersections, the system can cause one or more displays to display perspective views of image guidance cues, including an intersection indicator in a virtual 3D space.
Master/slave registration and control for teleoperation
A teleoperated system comprises a display, a master input device, and a control system. The control system is configured to determine an orientation of an end effector reference frame relative to a field of view reference frame, determine an orientation of a master input device reference frame relative to a display reference frame, establish an alignment relationship between the master input device reference frame and the display reference frame, and command, based on the alignment relationship, a change in a pose of the end effector in response to a change in a pose of the master input device. The alignment relationship is independent of a position relationship between the master input device reference frame and the display reference frame. In one aspect, the teleoperated system is a telemedical system such as a telesurgical system.
Tools and methods for placing a medical appliance on a user
A method for operating an accessory device to guide the placement of an ostomy appliance on a user having a stoma. The method can include capturing an image or a sequence of images of the user applying the ostomy appliance to the user's body, processing the captured image or sequence of images, including: identifying a location of the stoma in one or more of the captured image or sequence of images, identifying a location of the ostomy appliance in one or more of the captured image or sequence of images, and generating location indicia representative of the location of the ostomy appliance with respect to the stoma in one or more of the captured image or sequence of images. A visual display including the location indicia associated with one or more of the captured image or sequence of images can be provided.
Three-dimensional segmentation from two-dimensional intracardiac echocardiography imaging
For three-dimensional segmentation from two-dimensional intracardiac echocardiography imaging, the three-dimension segmentation is output by a machine-learnt multi-task generator. The machine-learnt multi-task generator is trained from 3D information, such as a sparse ICE volume assembled from the 2D ICE images. The machine-learnt multi-task generator is trained to output both the 3D segmentation and a complete volume. The 3D segmentation may be used to project to 2D as an input with an ICE image to another network trained to output a 2D segmentation for the ICE image. Display of the 3D segmentation and/or 2D segmentation may guide ablation of tissue in the patient.
Artificial intelligence-based cannula surgery diagnostic device
Disclosed is an artificial intelligence-based cannula surgery diagnostic device. The device includes a cannula stroke sensing unit for sensing a stroke of a cannula generated in a surgical procedure of a patient; a surgical data processing unit for receiving surgical data generated based on a stroke of the cannula; and a surgical prognostic information-generating unit for analyzing the received surgical data based on the existing learned surgical data to generate surgical prognostic information for the patient.
Near infrared illumination for surgical procedure
Systems, devices, and methods for surgical illumination and imaging of ophthalmologic structures within a human eye are disclosed. In various embodiments, an emitter, imaging sensor, and a system control image processor are configured to irradiate ophthalmologic structures with near infrared light, detect near-infrared scatter from the irradiated ophthalmologic structures and visible light in real-time and generate or otherwise cause an image to be displayed on the user display that includes the detected near-infrared scatter from the irradiated ophthalmologic structures displayed in real-time. In one or more embodiments, the image is a virtual image of the irradiated ophthalmologic structures generated at least based on near-infrared light scattering coefficients of the irradiated ophthalmologic structures. In certain embodiments, the image displayed on the user display includes the detected near-infrared scatter from the irradiated ophthalmologic structures overlaid on a real-time view from a surgical microscope.
Authentication and informational displays with adaptive lighting array
A display system for a medical suite comprises a scanning device configured to capture scanning data in the medical suite. At least one display configured to display information in an operating region of the medical suite. A controller is in communication with the scanning device and the display. The controller is configured to control the scanning device to capture identifying information of a patient. Based on the identifying information, the controller is configured to authenticate an identity of the patient. Based on the identity, the controller is configured to access a patient record for the patient. The controller is further configured to control the at least one display to display information based on the patient record.
Cable support clip for medical device workstation
A cable clip for use with a medical instrument system comprises a base member; a first prong projecting from the base member; and a second prong projecting from the base member. The first prong and the second prong project in a spaced, parallel manner relative to each other and the first prong is offset from the second prong in at least two dimensions.
