Magnetic resonance visible assembly for encoding information

Systems and methods for manufacturing and using magnetic resonance (MR) visible labels, markers, or assemblies to encode information unique to the subject or object being imaged by a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system are provided. The use of such MR-visible labels, markers, or assemblies enables unique information associated with the subject or object being imaged to be encoded into the images of the subject or object. This information can be used to anonymize protected health information (PHI); to provide detailed information about a surgical simulation device, quality assurance phantom, or the like; to provide spatial orientation and registration information; or so on.

Implantable and/or insertable devices having a near-IR fluorescing material that allows the device to be visualized through a patient's skin. Also described herein are apparatuses for imaging devices having a near-IR fluorescing material, and methods of imaging devices having a near-IR fluorescing material from within the body, including methods of modifying an implanted device having near-IR fluorescing material.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL MODEL FOR SURGICAL PLANNING
20200015893 · 2020-01-16 ·

Pre-surgical planning can use a three-dimensional model of an anatomical structure having a plurality of fiduciary points and a surgical mark integrated into the three-dimensional model using a contrast material. A model image of the three-dimensional model can be superimposed with a diagnostic image of the anatomical structure using the plurality of fiduciary points in order to create a superimposed image.

Medical Devices for Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Related Methods
20200000545 · 2020-01-02 · ·

Medical devices useful in interventional procedures performed under magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are described herein. A medical device comprises a body member and a marker formed of work-hardened stainless steel attached to the body member. The stainless steel of the marker has an ultimate tensile strength of between about 100 KSI and about 225 KSI. The marker can be attached to the body member in a manner that contributes work to the stainless steel or in a manner that does not contribute work to the stainless steel. Methods of making medical devices, medical imaging methods, and methods of performing interventional medical treatment are also described herein.

Therapy system containing an MRI module and means for determining the position of an RF coil

The present disclosure relates to a therapy system (100) comprising a radiotherapy device (102) configured to deliver and direct a radiotherapy beam along an axis to a predefined target position (117) in an imagine zone (138, 146) within an MR module (106) of the therapy system (100). The predefined target position (117) is matched with a position of an RF coil (140) of the MR module (106).

Systems, methods, and devices for assisting or performing guided interventional procedures using custom templates
11883244 · 2024-01-30 ·

Systems, methods, and devices are provided for assisting or performing guided interventional procedures using custom templates. The system uses pre-procedure scans of a patient's anatomy to identify targets and critical structures. A template is then manufactured containing guide elements. During a procedure, the template may be aligned to the patient and instruments passed though the guide elements and into various targets. The template may be aligned using one or more of, for example, a position sensing system or a live imaging modality to register the patient to the template. The system makes optional use of devices designed to immobilize or track an organ during therapy.

SINGLE LUMEN BALLOON GUIDE CATHETER
20240099732 · 2024-03-28 · ·

A balloon catheter includes a tubular body and a balloon circumferentially around a portion of the tubular body. The tubular body includes an outer surface and an inner surface defining a lumen of the tubular body. The balloon comprises a proximal end portion and a distal end portion each being secured to the tubular body, and a distensible portion defining an interior that is in fluid communication with the lumen of the tubular body. The distal end portion of the balloon extends through the outer surface and the inner surface into the lumen of the tubular body, forming a sealing portion circumferentially around the inner surface of the tubular body. A catheter assembly including a balloon catheter and a method of use are also provided.
