A gold marker recovery device for radiotherapy positioning and its using method comprises a positioning gold marker and a recovery clamp, the positioning gold marker comprises a gold marker body and an elastic fixed structure, the elastic fixed structure comprises a fixed segment, an extending segment and a spiral segment connected in sequence; the fixed segment is embedded in the gold marker body so that the fixed segment is closely connected with the gold marker body, A magnetic ball is arranged at one end of the gold marker body away from the extending segment; the recovery clamp comprises an operating handle, the rear end of the operating handle is connected with an outer sheath tube in a hollow structure, and the outer sheath tube is connected with a zipper for driving the clamp to open and close.
Systems And Methods For Guiding Movement Of A Handheld Medical Robotic Instrument
The present teachings provide for a hand-held robotic system for use with a saw blade or other surgical tool. The hand-held robotic system also includes an instrument with a hand-held portion, a blade support coupled to the hand-held portion by a plurality of actuators, the actuators configured to move the blade support or tool support in a plurality of degrees of freedom relative to the hand-held portion. The system includes a localizer and a control system coupled to the localizer and the plurality of actuators. The control system is configured to control each of the plurality of actuators and/or the tool drive motor.
FIDUCIAL MARKER DEVICES
Fiducial marker devices and systems that facilitate improved tracking in surgical environments are disclosed. In one example, this technology includes a fiducial marker device having active and backing layers in which the backing layer includes beacon(s) or a printed visual pattern. The adhesive layer includes an adhesive material to facilitate adhesion of the fiducial marker device when in contact with fluid associated with an anatomical structure. In another example, a fiducial marker stamp pen includes a body and a shaft disposed within an inner lumen of the body and coupled to a slider. The slider is advanced to move the shaft to deposit a material, via cutouts in a tip of the body or embossed features extending from a tip of the shaft, on an anatomical structure. In yet another example, a fiducial marker deformable applicator assembly is configured to deposit a pattern that can represent a fiducial marker.
COMPUTER-ASSISTED SURGERY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CALCULATING A DISTANCE WITH INERTIAL SENSORS
A computer-assisted surgery system for obtaining a distance between at least two fixed points relative to a bone comprises a first accelerometer unit located at a first fixed location on the bone, and producing first acceleration data during a movement of the bone. A second accelerometer unit is located at a second fixed location on the bone, and simultaneously producing second acceleration data during the movement. A gyroscope unit is fixed to the bone and simultaneously producing angular rates of change of said movement. A processor unit obtains the acceleration data and the angular rates of change for calculating the distance between the first fixed position and the second fixed position on the bone using a distance value of a distance vector between the accelerometer units. An interface outputs the distance between the first fixed position and the second fixed position relative to the bone. A method for calculating a distance between at least two points on a bone is provided.
FIDUCIAL MARKER FOR ONCOLOGICAL AND OTHER PROCEDURES
A method and apparatus for marking a target with a radiopaque marker is disclosed. The method may include providing a radiopaque filament and inserting at least portion of the radiopaque filament into tissue. The filament may extend continuously and at last partially around a perimeter of the target so that the filament is disposed in a plurality of surgical planes to demarcate the target with the radiopaque maker.
Tool Assembly, Systems, and Methods for Manipulating Tissue
Tool assemblies, system, and methods for manipulating tissue and methods for performing a surgical procedure on a vertebral body adjacent soft tissue. A manipulator moves an end effector, and a screw is coupled to the end effector. A sleeve is disposed coaxially around the screw, and the screw and the sleeve are releasably engaged to one another. A navigation system is configured to track the vertebral body, and one or more controllers control the end effector to advance the screw relative to the sleeve along an insertion trajectory defined with respect to a surgical plan. The screw disengages the sleeve during advancement, and the screw is secured to the vertebral body. A distal working portion of the screw may be freely slidable through a distal end of the sleeve when disengaged. The screw may be a tap marker removably couplable with a tracking device of the navigation system.
Nasal Patient Tracking Device And Method Of Using The Same
A patient tracking device for insertion into a body cavity includes a flexible conformable sensor housing having a sensor cavity therein. The housing conforms to the body cavity when inserted therein. A sensor is disposed within the housing.
Image registration of intraoral images using non-rigid indicia
A processing device receives intraoral scan data comprising a plurality of intraoral images of a dental site generated during scanning of the dental site by an intraoral scanner, one or more ink markings or other non-rigid indicia having been applied to the dental site prior to the scanning of the dental site, wherein at least two intraoral images of the plurality of intraoral images comprise representations of the one or more ink markings or other non-rigid indica. The processing device performs registration between the plurality of intraoral images and generates a three-dimensional (3D) model of the dental site using the plurality of intraoral images that have undergone registration, the 3D model of the dental site comprising a representation of the one or more ink markings or other non-rigid indica that were applied to the dental site prior to the scanning of the dental site.
