Fluidized sand and method of density control
20210189237 · 2021-06-24 ·

A fluidized sand composition for use as a filling material for sinkholes and the like weakened ground cavities. The fluidized sand composition is produced by mixing graded sand, water, a fluidizer, a plasticizer, and a surface active agent. The fluidized sand composition is easily injected into the ground cavity of a sinkhole. After filling, the fluidized sand composition will return to the solid natural condition according to the effect of plasticizer previously added. The fluidized sand composition allows for compaction, soil stabilization, permits water migration through the material, and can be easily excavated.

GROWTH MEDIA COMPOSITIONS

The present disclosure is directed towards aqueous compositions including agricultural water, and a dispersion of acrylic copolymer; growth media compositions including a growth media and solids from the aqueous composition; and methods including combining a dispersion of acrylic copolymer and agricultural water to form an aqueous composition, and applying the aqueous composition to a growth media.

FLUID FOR CONTROLLING THE PERMEABILITY OF A SUBTERRANEAN FORMATION, AND USE THEREOF

A fluid for controlling the permeability of a subterranean formation having an aqueous solution of at least one thermo-responsive polymer with block structure A-B-A′, wherein A and A′, the same as or different from one another, each represent a thermo-responsive oligomer group, and B is an oligomer group having n repeat units, the same as or different from one another.

At least one of the repeat units has a solubility of the corresponding monomer, in water at 20° C., equal to or greater than 120 g/l, and

n is a whole number within the range 30-1000.

The fluid is also used in a method for controlling the permeability of a subterranean formation.

Horticulture Additive

This invention relates to a horticulture additive comprising: (1) a wetting agent, wherein the wetting agent is a multi-branched polymer comprising at least one of an oxygen-containing and a nitrogen-containing polyfunctional base compound having at least three branches attached thereto, and (2) a humectant. The horticulture additive is advantageous for increasing plant survival of plants treated therewith when exposed to reduced watering conditions.

DRIFT REDUCTION ADJUVANTS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME

Reducing fines from an agricultural spray dispensed from a nozzle is provided in the disclosed methods. The agricultural spray comprises water, an agricultural composition such as a pesticide, at least one oil emulsion drift reduction adjuvant, and at least one spontaneous emulsion drift reduction adjuvant. The agricultural spray exhibits fewer fine droplets having a diameter less than about 105 μm, about 150 μm, and/or about 210 μm compared to an agricultural spray neither or only one of the oil emulsion drift reduction adjuvant and the spontaneous emulsion drift reduction adjuvant.

Water-absorbing and water-retaining multi-nutrient biodegradable polymeric slow/controlled release fertilizer having a semi-interpenetrating network structure

This disclosure relates to water-absorbing and slow/controlled release fertilizer, in particular to a water-absorbing and water-retaining multi-nutrient biodegradable polymeric slow/controlled release fertilizer having a semi-interpenetrating network structure, and preparation methods thereof. The method can comprises the steps of: reacting formaldehyde with urea to obtain a hydroxymethyl urea solution; adding acrylic acid and acrylamide monomers into another reactor, and adding a KOH solution to adjust the neutralization degree of acrylic acid, then adding one of inorganic clay, pretreated crop straw or cellulose, then adding initiator, monopotassium phosphate and the prepared hydroxymethyl urea solution sequentially; allowing to react at temperature after being mixed uniformly to obtain a viscous product; and granulating the viscous product and oven drying the same to obtain the fertilizer. The fertilizer prepared according to the present invention has strong water-absorbing and water-retaining capacity, and an excellent slow release performance for nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium contained as nutrients.
