Medical image processing device, medical observation system, image processing method, and computer readable medium for analyzing blood flow of observation object before and after surgical restoration
A medical image processing device includes circuitry configured to: analyze a blood flow flowing in an observation object based on a medical observation image obtained by capturing an image of the observation object; and generate a difference result between a simulation result of a blood flow flowing in a 3D model acquired in advance for the observation object and an analysis result of a blood flow flowing in the observation object.
SURGICAL ASSISTIVE ROBOT ARM
A surgical robotic arm (520) for use with an external vision system (512) includes onboard control and at least four degrees of articulation. The robotic arm (520) can position various tools (534) in the surgical theatre responsive to positional feedback In from the vision system (512). Exemplary tools (534) include a handpiece (519) that includes a motorized bun or saw, a cutting guide (542) for a handheld saw, or a laser to actively define a resection area for a surgeon. The tool (534) or a reference point on the arm (520) relative to the tool (534) includes fiducial marks to register the position of the tool (534) with the vision system (512). Exemplary (534) are especially suited for knee and hip arthroplasty and can be moved under processor or manual control.
SEGMENTED ADJUSTBLE ARM WITH LOCKING MECHANISM
A segmented adjustable arm device comprising a segment chain of a plurality of interconnected segments, wherein adjacent ends of each pair of adjacent segments of the segment chain form a ball and socket joint, one of the adjacent ends of each pair of the adjacent segments presenting a spherical or partially spherical plug and the other end of the adjacent ends presenting a socket configured to receive and hold the plug, allowing relative radial motion between the segments of that pair; and a locking mechanism, including a locking train that includes one or a plurality of rigid elements arranged in series along the segment chain, configured, when subjected to applied pressure, to pull the plurality of interconnected segments away from each other, and increase friction at the ball and socket joint to immobilize motion between adjacent segments.
Robot arm and methods of use
A robot arm and method for using the robot arm. Embodiments may be directed to an apparatus comprising: a robot arm; an end effector coupled at a distal end of the robot arm and configured to hold a surgical tool; a plurality of motors operable to move the robot arm; and an activation assembly operable to send a move signal allowing an operator to move the robot arm.
Automated image-guided tissue resection and treatment
A system to treat a patient comprises a user interface that allows a physician to view an image of tissue to be treated in order to develop a treatment plan to resect tissue with a predefined removal profile. The image may comprise a plurality of images, and the planned treatment is shown on the images. The treatment probe may comprise an anchor, and the image shown on the screen may have a reference image marker shown on the screen corresponding to the anchor. The planned tissue removal profile can be displayed and scaled to the image of the target tissue of an organ such as the prostate, and the physician can adjust the treatment profile based on the scaled images to provide a treatment profile in three dimensions. The images shown on the display may comprise segmented images of the patient with treatment plan overlaid on the images.
ROBOTIC SURGICAL SYSTEMS AND ROBOTIC ARM CARTS THEREOF
A surgical cart for supporting a robotic arm includes a base, a plurality of casters coupled to the base, and first and second rods rotatably supported by the base. The first rod is operably coupled to a first caster and configured to rotate in a first direction to one of lock or unlock the first caster. The second rod is coupled to a second caster and operably coupled to the first rod such that rotation of the first rod in the first direction causes the second rod to rotate in a second direction to one of lock or unlock the second caster.
HOLDING DEVICE, MEDICAL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR POSITIONING A MEDICAL INSTRUMENT
The disclosure relates to a holding device (12) for medical instruments (14) having a proximal base (20) for mounting on a frame (16), said base comprising a first joint (30), having a distal instrument holder (22) which comprises a second joint (32), having at least two sliding elements (52, 54, 58) between the base (20) and the instrument holder (22), and having at least two clamping elements (138, 140, 142, 144) which can be actuated by at least one transfer element (84, 86, 88), which can be operated jointly in a clamped stated and a released state, and which are designed to lock joints of the holding device (12) in the clamped state, wherein the at least two sliding elements (52, 54, 58) form a sliding joint (24) and can be displaced translationally relative to each other along a longitudinal axis (132), and wherein the at least two sliding elements (52, 54, 58) are telescopable relative to each other and coupled non-rotationally with each other.
