A cleaning device enables cleaning of a lens of an endoscope during a surgical procedure to maintain a clear image without having to remove the endoscope from the patient's body. The cleaning device is mountable to an endoscope such that a wiper of the cleaning device is selectively displaced across the lens of the endoscope to remove debris from the lens.

The present invention relates to a method for drying endoscope channels, including the following steps: a) connecting the endoscope, particularly via a specific connection, to a plasma drying unit; b) injecting a neutral gas into the endoscope channels for a duration of 10 to 60 seconds, the flow rate of the gas being low, the gas being injected at a temperature of 10° C. to 30° C. such as to eliminate residual water; then c) drying the endoscope channels, for a duration of 30 to 150 seconds, by injecting a gas at a high flow rate, the gas being injected at a temperature of 30° C. to 60° C.

A linear member delivery device for the endoscope includes: a nozzle including an inlet, an outlet, and an insertion path; a fitting portion fitted to an endoscope; a holding portion configured to hold a linear member; and a switching portion configured to connect the fitting portion and the nozzle such that a crossing angle of an opening of the endoscope and a center axis of the nozzle can be switched to a plurality of angles in a state that the fitting portion is fitted to the endoscope.

The system describes a software implementation to track use and cleaning of medical devices in hospitals and other medical settings. Further, the system may track cleaning (e.g. temperature, movement) and location (e.g. RSSI, etc.) of a medical device. The system may include boxes that sit on the wall in the cleaning rooms, sensors on the medical devices, sensors on the individuals who handle the devices, and a separate Wi-Fi® wireless network that relays information from the box to a computer in the facility, that relays the information back to the cloud. In some embodiments, a supervisor or other superior gets notified if proper cleaning and reprocessing methods are not used. In other embodiments, the surgeon/doctor can scan a medical device when presented for use and see its use and cleaning history.

An endoscope reprocessor includes: a connector to which an endoscope is connected; a fluid supplying section that supplies fluid to the connector; an electromagnet arranged at the connector and including a magnetic material and a coil wound around the magnetic material; a current supplying section; a magnetic force switching portion configured to switch a strength of a magnetic force to at least one of a first strength and a second strength weaker than the first strength; and a control section configured to switch the strength of the magnetic force by controlling the magnetic force switching portion while driving the fluid supplying section.

A linear member transfer apparatus includes: a linear member housing portion having a bottomed cylindrical shape and including: a bottom portion; an opening; a side wall; a restriction portion that is a diaphragm disposed on a position at a predetermined distance from the bottom portion and that has an inner diameter smaller than an inner diameter of the bottom portion; a first chamber configured to house a linear member in a wound state; and a second chamber configured to house the linear member in an extended state; a transfer portion configured to transfer the linear member; and a guide.

A liner for an endoscope storage tray is provided. The liner has an interior comprising a flexibly deformable material substantially impermeable to fluids and an absorbent material disposed within or attached to at least a portion of the flexibly deformable material. The liner is configured to temporarily line at least an interior of the endoscope storage tray. Systems and methods are also provided.

An endoscope cleaning/disinfecting apparatus includes an endoscope connection section, a liquid supply conduit, a gas feeding conduit, a first gas feeding section, a first exhaust section, and a control section that performs a step of filling the gas feeding conduit with a cleaning liquid, a step of opening the first exhaust section, a step of allowing a gas to flow from the first gas feeding section to the endoscope connection section and feeding a two-phase gas-liquid fluid with which the gas feeding conduit is filled into the conduit of the endoscope and a step of closing the first exhaust section a predetermined time after allowing the gas to flow.

The present disclosure provides systems and methods for cleaning a lens of an imaging device during a surgical procedure within an individual. The imaging device comprises a lens, and the wiping object is positioned a distance away from the imaging device that is configured to contact and move along a path of the device in order to clean it. The present disclosure provides methods for initiating automated cleaning of a lens during a procedure comprising using an eye tracking device fitted and coupled to an individual that may track the movements of the individual to actuate cleaning.
