Augmented Reality Viewing and Tagging For Medical Procedures
20220192776 · 2022-06-23 ·

Technology is described for augmenting medical imaging for use in a medical procedure. The method can include the operation of receiving an image of patient anatomy captured by a visual image camera during the medical procedure. An acquired medical image associated with the patient anatomy can then be retrieved. Another operation can be associating the acquired medical image to the patient anatomy. An augmentation tag associated with a location in one layer of the acquired medical image can be retrieved. A further operation can be projecting the acquired medical image and the augmentation tag using an augmented reality headset to form a single graphical view as an overlay to the patient anatomy in either 2D, 3D or holographic form.

METABOLIC TARGETING OF LOW GRADE TUMORS
20220184234 · 2022-06-16 ·

The present disclosure describes a method for detecting and treating a low grade malignant tissue in a subject, comprising administering 5-aminolevulinic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester thereof, to the subject and measuring the fluorescence of the tissue.

INSTRUMENT TRAY INDICATOR SYSTEM
20220185540 · 2022-06-16 ·

The instrument tray indicator system includes a three-dimensional indicia associated with a least a portion of an instrument tray carrying at least one medical component. The three-dimensional indicia has a structure symbolic of the at least one medical component within the instrument tray, and the three-dimensional indicia is of a size and shape to provide external tactile feedback of the structure of the three-dimensional indicia through a sterile wrapping sealing an interior of the instrument tray with the at least one medical component therein. This allows one to identify the at least one medical component within the instrument tray without removing the sterile wrapping.

TREATMENT DEVICES FOR ACOUSTIC WAVE STIMULATION

The invention relates to the field of cell stimulation by mechanical energy, in particular by acoustic energy, for example stimulation by ultrasound, such as focused ultrasound (FUS). It relates to treatment devices and components thereof as well as methods for setting up or producing such devices or components. One purpose of the invention is to make devices for cell stimulation by mechanical energy more user friendly and applicable for a wider public and for additional applications. A treatment device for acoustic wave stimulation to a body portion is portable and includes a carrier element, at least one transducer and communication device configured to receive operating parameters for the at least one transducer from a remote computerized device. A method for setting up a treatment device for acoustic wave stimulation includes receiving operating parameters for the at least one transducer from a remote computerized device.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AIMING AND ALIGNING OF A TREATMENT TOOL WITHIN AN X-RAY DEVICE OR AN ULTRASOUND DEVICE ENVIRONMENT
20220175461 · 2022-06-09 · ·

In general, systems and methods for aiming of a treatment tool at a target area and/or aligning of the treatment tool with respect to an imaging device are disclosed. The system may determine a position and orientation of the treatment tool with respect to the imaging device and to display, on a display, a visual indicator that indicates the determined position and orientation of the treatment tool. A user may aim and/or align the treatment tool based on the visual indicator displayed on the display.

DEVICES FOR CARDIAC SURGERY AND METHODS THEREOF
20220167966 · 2022-06-02 ·

A device for cardiac surgery is disclosed. The device for cardiac surgery includes an aortic root retractor frame, an introducer, and one or more suture locking apparatuses. The device for cardiac surgery also includes an actuator for releasing the aortic root retractor frame, as well as a deployment mechanism for fully expanding the aortic root retractor frame. Multiple suture locking apparatuses used for releasable locking and unlocking of suture during a cardiac surgery procedure may be included in the device for cardiac surgery.

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to systems, devices and methods for displaying, placing, fitting, sizing, selecting, aligning, moving a virtual implant on a physical anatomic structure of a patient and, optionally, modifying or changing the displaying, placing, fitting, sizing, selecting, aligning, moving, for example based on kinematic information.

PERSISTENT GUIDE WIRE IDENTIFICATION
20220160432 · 2022-05-26 ·

A system (IPS) for supporting image-based navigation, comprising: an input interface (IN) for reviving one or more input images acquired by an X-ray imager (IA) whilst two or more medical devices (GW1, GW2) are present in a field of view (FoV) of the X-ray imaging apparatus. An image identifier (ID) identifies the two or more medical devices based on image information in the one or more images. A tagger (TGG) associates a respective, unique, tag with each of at least two of the two or more medical devices (GW1, GW2) so identified. A graphics display generator (GDG) effects displaying on a display device (DD) the one or more input images in a video feed, with the tags included.
