Compositions for Engine Carbon Removal and Methods and Apparatus for Removing Carbon
This invention relates to cleaning the induction systems, the combustion chambers and exhaust systems of internal combustion engines. And, more particularly, to chemicals and mixtures of chemicals for removing the different types of carbon deposits encountered in internal combustion engines used in road vehicles. Carbon deposits were taken from the induction systems of these road vehicles for the purpose of bench testing such carbon and product development. More specifically, chemicals (i.e., solvents) and chemical mixes (i.e., solutions) have been accurately tested on such harvested carbon deposits for their ability to remove the various types of carbon deposits that accumulate within road vehicle internal combustion engines. Additionally this invention also relates to apparatus for delivering chemicals and chemical mixes. Which includes those developed by applicant, as well as those prior art products marketed for carbon removal, to the induction system of vehicles to maximize the effectiveness of the chemical delivery.
ADDITIVE TO REDUCE PARTICULATE MATTER IN EMISSIONS DERIVING FROM THE COMBUSTION OF DIESEL FUEL AND FUEL OIL AND FUEL COMPOSITION THAT CONTAINS IT
The present invention relates to an additive for fuels such as diesel fuel and fuel oil, used respectively for diesel engines and boilers of various types, comprising a metal oxidation catalyst, an organic nitrate and a dispersing agent in suitable ratios, capable of improving combustion efficiency in such a way as to reduce the formation of particulate matter and consumption.
Chemical Warfare Agents And Related Compounds As Fuel For Internal Combustion Engines
Technologies for combusting hazardous compounds such as chemical warfare agents and related compounds are disclosed. In embodiments, the technologies include systems and methods for combusting such compounds in an internal combustion engine, such as a spark ignition internal combustion engine, a diesel engine, or the like. The technologies described herein further include components for treating an exhaust gas stream produced by combustion of hazardous compounds. In embodiments such components include a scrubber that utilizes a scrubbing media such as soil to removing acid gases from the exhaust stream.
ENGINE FUEL BASED ON A MIXTURE OF ALCOHOL AND WATER AND CONTAINING A COMBUSTION IMPROVER ADDITIVE
A fuel for a combustion engine includes from about 95.0% to about 99.9% by weight of a liquid water/alcohol mixture, in which water makes up from about 1% to about 15% by weight of the mixture, and from about 0.01% to about 5.0% by weight of an alkyl nitrate.
RENEWABLE DIESEL FUEL FORMULATION BASED ON ALCOHOLS
Refers to a formulation of renewable diesel fuel, whose objective is to provide a fuel for the diesel cycle that is possible to produce by biotechnology methods from a renewable biological source, including fermentation processes of sugars or materials available in sugar and alcohol plants. In this way, the obtained fuel can be conventionally used as a substitute for diesel oil in urban or road transport vehicles and be an alternative option to diesel oil used in sugar and alcohol plants, which reduces fossil carbon emissions in the production cycle of sugar and alcohol, with the advantages of replacing fossil sources, reducing the emission of carbon compounds, adequate consumption, compatible cost, maintenance of the shelf life of the system components, greater safety and reduced evaporation losses.

DIESEL FUEL AND FUEL ADDITIVE WITH A COMBUSTION CATALYST
A diesel fuel additive includes a cetane number improver and an at least one organometallic combustion catalyst in solution and/or at least one metal-oxide combustion catalyst in suspension.
A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A FUEL COMPONENT
Methods are disclosed for manufacturing and using diesel fuel components having a cetane number improver and a renewable fuel component manufactured by hydrotreating and isomerising renewable raw material.
FUEL COMPOSITIONS
Fuel composition comprising: (a) a base fuel suitable for use in an internal combustion engine; (b) a tetraalkylethane compound having the formula (I): wherein Ar represents an aryl group and each X is independently selected from a hydrogen atom, substituted or unsubstituted, straight chain or branched C.sub.1-C.sub.12 alkyl group, (CH.sub.2).sub.nOH or (CH.sub.2).sub.nNH.sub.2, wherein n is in the range of 1 to 9, provided that at least one of the X groups in each CX.sub.3 group is a hydrogen atom. The fuel composition of the present invention provides improved power and acceleration benefits, as well as increased flame speed and burn duration.
Hydrocarbon functionalized carbon-based nanomaterial and method
A fuel mixture includes a fuel, ethanol, and modified graphene oxide (mGO) nanoparticles functionalized with a hydrocarbon. The mGO is less than 1000 ppm of the ethanol, and a blend of the ethanol and the mGO is less than 10% of the fuel mixture.
