Disclosed herein is a surgical navigation instrument having a temperature sensor. The surgical navigation instrument can easily perform an autoclave action to remove microorganisms using saturated steam with respect to a part which can be contaminated during treatment, and enhance convenience in replacement of a grip part and the electrodes of the handpiece which are consumables, since a handpiece and electrodes are detachably screw-coupled with each other.

SURGICAL NAVIGATION INSTRUMENT HAVING NEEDLE ELECTRODE DEPTH ADJUSTING STRUCTURE FOR DETECTING IMPEDANCE AND HIGH FREQUENCY ENERGY CONTROL METHOD USING SAME
20230157746 · 2023-05-25 ·

Disclosed herein are a surgical navigation instrument having a needle electrode depth adjusting structure for detecting impedance and a high frequency energy control method using the same. The present invention can detect impedance of tissues while applying a pilot signal to an electrode of a high frequency needle according to impedance conditions of the tissues to detect impedance of the tissues, and determine an applied amount of high frequency energy output to high frequency needles according to the detected impedance, thereby reducing patients' pains, maximizing treatment effect, and reducing treatment time according to high frequency energy applied to various depths at the same treatment point when performing a surgical procedure with the same or different treatment parameters according to disease symptoms while selecting the insertion number of high frequency needles, which can be adjusted in penetration depth, into the skin.

Systems and methods for spherical ablations

A system including a catheter navigable to a location within a patient, a lumen extending through the catheter and ending at the distal end in an orifice, a fluid controller in fluid communication with the lumen of the catheter and capable of supplying a fluid to or removing a fluid from an area proximate the desired location. The control of the fluid in the area proximate the desired location affecting a dielectric constant of the area proximate the desired location. The system includes a microwave energy source, and a microwave ablation probe connected to the microwave energy source, the microwave ablation probe being navigable to a desired location within the patient. Application of energy from the microwave energy source to the microwave ablation probe in an area proximate the desired location having the affected dielectric constant results in a substantially spherical tissue effect in the area proximate the desired location.

DISPLAY ARRANGEMENTS FOR ROBOT-ASSISTED SURGICAL PLATFORMS

Various surgical systems are disclosed. A surgical system comprises a robotic tool, a robot control system, a surgical instrument, and a surgical hub. The robot control system comprises a control console and a control unit in signal communication with the control console and the robotic tool. The surgical hub comprises a display. The surgical hub is in signal communication with the robot control system. The surgical hub is configured to detect the surgical instrument and represent the surgical instrument on the display.

Automated image-guided tissue resection and treatment

A system to treat a patient comprises a user interface that allows a physician to view an image of tissue to be treated in order to develop a treatment plan to resect tissue with a predefined removal profile. The image may comprise a plurality of images, and the planned treatment is shown on the images. The treatment probe may comprise an anchor, and the image shown on the screen may have a reference image marker shown on the screen corresponding to the anchor. The planned tissue removal profile can be displayed and scaled to the image of the target tissue of an organ such as the prostate, and the physician can adjust the treatment profile based on the scaled images to provide a treatment profile in three dimensions. The images shown on the display may comprise segmented images of the patient with treatment plan overlaid on the images.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR ACCESSING THE INTRADURAL COMPARTMENT AND TREATING INTRACRANIAL HEMATOMA

Devices and methods are described for a minimally invasive procedure offering immediate relief of brain compression and prevention of subdural hematoma re-accumulation. For example, this disclosure describes devices and methods for embolization of bleeding branch vessels of the middle meningeal artery and subdural hematoma drainage in a single endovascular intervention using multimodal catheter-based technology.

TREATMENT TOOL, TREATMENT SYSTEM, AND TREATMENT METHOD

A treatment tool includes a tubular member including an opening and a tubular member main body that has a tubular shape. The tubular member is configured to suction a tissue piece through the opening. The treatment tool includes a blade member provided on an opening edge of the opening.

Arthroscopic devices and methods

Arthroscopic cutters are used for resecting tissues, such as meniscal tissues, in meniscectomies or other arthroscopic procedures. The arthroscopic cutters have a shaft assembly with openable-closeable jaws at a working end of the shaft. A handpiece having a motor drive may be detachably coupled to a hub on a hub end of the handpiece. When the shaft is coupled to the handpiece, the motor drive will couple to the jaw structure to open and close the jaw structure to cut meniscal and other tissues.

A cautery pen tip accessory cover comprises a cylindrical member that can receive a cautery pen in a first end and the tip of the cautery pen can extend from a second opposite end when the cover is in a retracted configuration. The cylindrical member has an opened lateral exposure that allows the feel of the cautery pen therethrough. A cover exposure opening in the cylindrical member to provide access to a trigger of the cautery pen when the cautery pen tip cover is in the retracted configuration. A resilient member urges the cautery pen tip cover to the non-retracted configuration where access to the cautery pen trigger is prevented. The cylindrical member is easily retracted by a finger ring configured permanently into the cylindrical member, allowing easy retraction of the cover by the operator squeezing the cover to a resistance bar stabilization system accessory configured over the cautery pen.

MEDICAL SYSTEM
