Systems and methods for monitoring a patient
The disclosed systems and methods for monitoring a patient in a medical setting may include various types of sensors that obtain data indicative of one or more patient parameters and one or more environmental parameters. One or more processors may process the data to identify a correlation, or causal relationship, between the one or more patient parameters and the one or more environmental parameters. Thus, the systems and methods may be used to identify particular environmental parameters that affect a particular patient to facilitate creation of a suitable environment for the particular patient. The disclosed monitoring systems and methods may be especially useful for sensitive, high-risk, and/or non-verbal patients, such as infants in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
APPARATUS FOR USE WITH A WEARABLE CUFF
There is provided an apparatus (12) for use with a wearable cuff (14) in measuring blood pressure. The cuff (14) is inflatable to pressurize a measurement site (20) of a subject (18). The apparatus (12) is configured to estimate a size of the cuff (14) during a current inflation of the cuff (14) and compare the estimated size of the cuff (14) to a previous size of the cuff (14) estimated during an inflation of the cuff (14) that immediately preceded the current inflation of the cuff (14). The apparatus (12) is also configured to, if the estimated size of the cuff (14) differs from the previous size of the cuff (14) by more than a predefined amount, change a pressure up to which the cuff (14) is inflated before deflation of the cuff (14) starts.
Fetal lung maturity test
The present invention relates to methods for diagnosing Respiratory Distress Syndrome of newborn.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR OBTAINING AN ELECTROCARDIOGRAM SIGNAL OF A PATIENT VIA A NON-ADHERING, DIRECT CONTACT ELECTRODE APPARATUS
Various methods and systems are provided for a fabric cover including a plurality of integrated electrodes for measuring an electrocardiogram signal of a patient in direct contact with at least a subset of the plurality of integrate electrodes. As one example, a fabric cover for an infant incubator or warmer includes a plurality of electrodes spaced apart from one another within a measurement area of a surface of the fabric cover adapted to have direct contact with a patient, the plurality of electrodes including a topmost electrode extending across an entire width of the measurement area, a bottommost electrode extending across the entire width of the measurement area, and a set of electrodes arranged between the topmost electrode and bottommost electrode, in a direction perpendicular to the width, within the measurement area.
SENSOR ARRAY
A sensor array is disclosed. The sensor array includes a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, a flow path extending between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet; and at least one optimization sensor positioned outside of the flow path of the sensor array and configured to provide at least one performance parameter of the sensor array. The at least one performance parameter having performance data of the sensor array.
System for Monitoring One or More Vital Signs of a Human Body, in Particular a Baby
The present document relates to a system for monitoring one or more vital signs of a human body, in particular a baby, including a wearable device comprising a carrier suitable for being worn around an abdominal part of the body, and an electrode arrangement comprising a plurality of conductive electrodes. The electrodes are arranged on the carrier such as to be brought in contact with a skin of the body in use, and wherein the electrodes are arranged for receiving electric physiological signals from the body for enabling said monitoring of the one or more vital signs, wherein the system further includes a sensor unit configured for receiving the electric physiological signals from the electrodes and for providing a sensor signal based on the received electric physiological signals; wherein system comprises a connector assembly comprising a first connector and a second connector, the first and the second connector being complementary such as to enable establishing a connection between the first and the second connector, wherein first connector is comprised by the wearable device, and wherein the wearable device comprises one or more conductive paths between the electrode arrangement and the first connector for electrically connecting the electrode arrangement with the connector; and wherein the second connector is comprised by the sensor unit for enabling to establish a detachable connection between the sensor unit and the wearable device for receiving the electric physiological signals.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ATTENTIONAL MULTIMODAL PAIN ESTIMATION
A computer-based system and method for generating a pain score of a subject using one or more sensory signals extracted from an AV signal of the subject. The AV signal may comprise one or more sensory signals including a face sensory signal, a body sensory signal and an audio sensory and wherein one or more of the sensory signals is missing from the AV signal.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CLASSIFYING CRITICAL HEART DEFECTS
Disclosed are systems and methods for classifying heart defects using a predictive model based on a set of parameters that includes oxygen saturation (Sp02), perfusion index (PIx), heart rate (HR) data, radiofemoral delay, and/or photoplethysmography (PPG) slope.
Noninvasive method and apparatus for peripheral assessment of vascular health
The technology relates to medical devices for monitoring and assessing vascular health. In one embodiment, the technology is an apparatus that attaches to a subject's finger comprising a heating and cooling component, a coherent source, a temperature sensor, an image detector, and/or a component for data control and management. In another embodiment, there is a component that alters local blood flow in the subject, and laser speckle contrast and photoplethysmography (PPG) signals from the altered blood flow in the subject are compared to monitor the vascular health of the subject.
Infant feeding measurement device
A system for monitoring infant feeding habit includes a nipple having an embedded pressure sensing passage and pressure sensing opening. The pressure sensing opening is proximate the nipple feeding opening. The pressure sensing passage allows monitoring of change in pressure of infant sucks and swallows throughout feeding.
