LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION FOR REFRIGERATORS
A lubricating oil composition may be suitable for a refrigerator and have excellent thermal stability when used with a refrigerant using difluoromethane (R32), trifluoroiodomethane (CF.sub.3I), and at least one selected from saturated fluorinated hydrocarbon compounds (HFC) other than difluoromethane (R32). Such compositions may include: a base oil (A) with at least one selected from a polyoxyalkylene glycol, a polyvinyl ether, a copolymer of a poly(oxy)alkylene glycol or a monoether thereof and a polyvinyl ether, and a polyol ester; and an aliphatic epoxy compound (B), wherein the content of the aliphatic epoxy compound (B) is more than 2.0% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition.
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION FOR REFRIGERATORS

LUBRICANT COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR USING THE SAME
A lubricant composition with improved stability and tolerance for water hardness comprises a synthetic wax emulsion; an amine derivative; an emulsifier; and a sequestrant. The synthetic wax emulsion may include poly(ethyleneoxide)-based or poly(propyleneoxide)-based wax emulsions. The amine derivative may include alkyl C.sub.12-C.sub.14 oxy propyl diamine. The lubricant composition can be used for lubricating the passage of a container along a conveyor. The method includes applying the lubricant composition to at least a part of the container or the conveyor in an application cycle, where the application cycle includes a first period of time of dispensing the lubricant composition and a second period of time of not dispensing the lubricant composition.
LUBRICANT COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR USING THE SAME

REFRIGERATION AND AIR-CONDITIONING APPARATUS
In a refrigeration and air-conditioning apparatus, an inner diameter of an upward-flow pipe is defined as an inner pipe diameter, where a spherical droplet of refrigerating machine oil with a diameter equal to the inner pipe diameter is defined as a spherical refrigerating machine oil droplet, and where a force received by the spherical refrigerating machine oil droplet from refrigerant in liquid form flowing upward through the upward-flow pipe is defined as a fluid force, the refrigerant in liquid form flows upward through the upward-flow pipe at such a speed that the fluid force is greater than a gravitational force applied to the spherical refrigerating machine oil droplet.

A water-soluble quenching fluid composition prepared by blending: water, at least one kind selected from a polyoxyalkylene glycol and a derivative thereof (A), and an alkylene glycol ether (B), the polyoxyalkylene glycol or a derivative thereof (A) having a mass average molecular weight of 10,000 or more and 100,000 or less, the alkylene glycol ether (B) having a solubility in 100 mL of water at 20° C. of 2.0 g/100 mL-H.sub.2O or less and a molecular weight per 1 mol of 1,000 g/mol or less.
