DROWSINESS ESTIMATION INFORMATION CORRECTION DEVICE, DROWSINESS ESTIMATION DEVICE, DROWSINESS ESTIMATION INFORMATION CORRECTION METHOD, DROWSINESS ESTIMATION METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A drowsiness estimation information correction device includes: a drowsiness estimation information acquisition unit that acquires drowsiness estimation information that is based on an eyelid movement of a subject; and a drowsiness estimation information correction unit that calculates corrected drowsiness estimation information obtained by correcting the drowsiness estimation information with humidity information indicating humidity in a surrounding environment of the subject.
DEVICE, A METHOD, AND A COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR DETERMINING THE DRIVING BEHAVIOR OF A DRIVER
The invention relates to a device for determining the driving behavior of a driver, the device comprising at least means for receiving data from two or more data sources, of which at least one produces data relating to changes in the state of motion of a vehicle and at least one other produces measured data on the well-being of the driver; means for scoring the received data by comparing it with data-specific reference values; means for forming a respective sub-index from each scored item of data; means for determining a driving behavior index on the basis of the formed sub-indices; and means for controlling control equipment of the vehicle on the basis of the driving behavior index and/or for storing the driving behavior index in a database.
Method and Apparatus for Determining Onset of Hypoxia
A method is presented for determining onset of hypoxia of an occupant in an aircraft. The method includes measuring a physiological parameter of the occupant and comparing a value based on the physiological parameter with a threshold value. The method also includes measuring a pressure within a cabin of the aircraft and comparing the pressure with a pressure threshold value. The method also includes determining onset of hypoxia of the occupant based on both of the comparing steps. The method also includes communicating an alert to the occupant using a device detectable by one or more senses of the occupant. An apparatus is also provided for determining onset of hypoxia. The apparatus includes a pressure sensor to measure the pressure, a pulse oximeter to measure the physiological parameter, an alert device to communicate the alert to the occupant and a processor to perform one or more steps of the method.
SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS FOR USING A WEARABLE DEVICE TO MONITOR OPERATOR ALERTNESS
A computer system and method is adapted for determining an alertness of a wearer of a computerized wearable device having one or more sensors by receiving a signal from the sensors and determining a baseline heart rate of the wearer. The system monitors the wearer for an elevated heart rate and/or transmits a stimulus to the wearer to produce an elevated heart rate. In response to the elevated heart rate, the system compares the wearer's current heart rate to the wearer's baseline heart rate to determine the wearer's current alertness by calculating the length of time it takes the wearer's current heart rate to return to the baseline heart rate. The system notifies the wearer of the wearer's current alertness by generating an alert such as sending a notification to the wearer's computing device. The system may also generate an alert from a vehicle driven by the wearer.
SMART AVIATION COMMUNICATION HEADSET AND PERIPHERAL COMPONENTS
In one embodiment, an aviation communication headset includes, but is not limited to, at least one microphone; one or more speakers; one or more docks configured to interface with one or more eyepieces; and at least one control unit operable to perform operations including at least: detecting a presence of one or more eyepieces at the one or more docks; and outputting aviation flight information via the one or more docks for display on the one or more eyepieces.
Method of Previewing Off-road Trails and Viewing Associated Health Requirements and Related System
A method of previewing off-road trails and viewing associated health requirements includes receiving selection of an off-road trail from a user, and displaying an overview of the selected off-road trail in response to receiving selection of the selected off-road trail from the user, the overview of the selected off-road trail indicating latitude and longitude coordinates associated with the selected off-road trail, elevation data associated with the selected off-road trail, and recommended minimum health guidelines associated with the selected off-road trail.
Technique for adjusting the posture of a seated person
A posture adjustment system includes a set of sensors coupled to a chair on which a person may sit. The posture adjustment system gathers data from the set of sensors and generates a posture model that reflects a posture associated with the seated person. The posture adjustment system then determines corrections to the posture of the person that could, potentially, improve their posture. The posture adjustment system then indicates those corrections to the person, or, alternatively, applies a set of adjustments to the chair to cause the person to assume a new posture that reflects the posture corrections.
WEARABLE DEVICE WITH MULTIBIOMETRY
It is provided a wearable device for determining when a user has fallen down. The wearable device comprises: a first biometric sensor for obtaining first biometric data of the user, wherein the first biometric sensor is a first accelerometer configured to measure acceleration of a part of a first limb of the user; a second biometric sensor for obtaining second biometric data of the user comprising a finger pressure parameter; and a third biometric sensor for obtaining third biometric data, the third biometric sensor being a second accelerometer configured to measure acceleration of a body part of the user being distinct from the first limb. The wearable device is configured to determine an identity of the user is based on the first biometric data, the second biometric data and the third biometric data, the identity being used to control access to a physical space, and to determine when the user has fallen down.
IN-VEHICLE HEARING TEST
A system includes a computer including a processor and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor to detect a position of a head of an occupant within a passenger compartment of a vehicle. The instructions include instructions to conduct a hearing test based on the position of the head of the occupant. The instructions include instructions to output sound at least at one of a specified frequency or amplitude, the specified frequency or amplitude selected based on results of the hearing test.
Flight Crew Fatigue And Controlled Rest Management System
Described herein is a pilot monitoring system (100) including a camera (106) configured to capture a plurality of digital images of an aircraft (104) cockpit including one or both of a pilot (102) and a co-pilot (103) and a processor (114) configured to process the captured images. The images are processed to determine an alertness state of the pilot (102) and/or the co-pilot (103) during operation of the aircraft (104) based on detected facial features of the pilot (102) and/or co-pilot (103) in the images. Processor (114) receives information indicative of a current phase of flight of the aircraft and displays a visualisation of the alertness level and/or determines a suitability of a controlled rest period for the pilot (102) or co-pilot (103) based on the alertness state of the pilot and (102)/or the co-pilot (103) and the current phase of flight. An alert is issued alert to the pilot (102) and/or co-pilot (103) including a determination of a suitability of a controlled rest period for either the pilot (102) or co-pilot (103).
