2-in-1 Unit Dose Providing Softening And Detergency
Provided herein are 2-in-1 unit doses for treating fabrics. The 2-in-1 unit doses include a polyester receptacle coated with a softening agent, and a fabric cleaning agent disposed within the polyester receptacle. The polyester receptacle includes a plurality of pores permeable to liquid such that polyester receptacle allows liquid to diffuse into the cavity through the pores and dissolve the fabric cleaning agent. The 2-in-1 unit doses provide both softening and detergency to fabrics through a wash cycle in a washing machine and a heated dry cycle in a dryer.
LIQUID LAUNDRY DETERGENT COMPOSITIONS
A liquid laundry composition comprising: (i) one or more anionic surfactants; and (ii) a non-ionic ethoxylated C10 Guerbet alcohol surfactant with a degree of ethoxylation in the range of 1 to 10; wherein the total amount of anionic surfactant in the composition is in the range of 3 to 18 wt % of the total composition and the weight ratio of the total amount of anionic surfactant to the non-ionic ethoxylated C10 Guerbet alcohol surfactant is in the range of 6:1 to 60:1. Use of a liquid laundry detergent composition including said non-ionic ethoxylated C10 Guerbet alcohol surfactant for laundering textiles wherein effective foam is maintained during a main wash step and an easy rinse of the textiles is provided during a rinse step.
FORMULATIONS, METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REDUCING ENERGY AND WATER USAGE IN AN INSTITUTIONAL LAUNDRY
Formulations, methods using such a formulation, and systems encompassing such formulations and methods for reducing energy and/or water usage in an institutional laundry is provided. Such formulations, methods and systems allow for textiles and fabrics to be effectively washed even at temperatures as low as 20° C. A prewash formulation includes a surfactant enzyme booster with the surfactant enzyme booster having one but preferably more enzymes and one or more surfactants. The enzyme of the prewash formulation may include any one or more of a protease, a lipase, an amylase, a cellulase, a mannanase, a pectinase, a peroxidase, and a gluconase. A main wash formulation is used in a wash phase cycle of an institutional laundry where such a main wash formulation includes a bleach, bleach enhancer, a chelating agent, an anti-redeposition agent and/or a soil suspension agent, a surfactant, preferably a nonionic surfactant and an anionic surfactant, a solvent including an aqueous solvent and perhaps an organic solvent, and a builder. An institutional washing process using the formulations provided here are distinguished by the need to only include one rinse cycle—i.e., a rinse cycle between the prewash cycle and the main wash cycle is generally not needed or, at least, a full rinse cycle between the prewash cycle and the main wash cycle is not needed. The formulations, methods and systems provided reduce energy and water usage in an institutional laundry.
PURGE COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF CLEANING
The invention relates to a purge composition comprising a polymer formulation which is tacky and suitable to cross-link and/or cure to become less tacky, at least 50% of solids of the polymer formulation comprising a polysiloxane, polyurethane, acrylate resin, epoxy resin, melamine resin, formaldehyde resin, or a mixture of two or more of any of these; and a curing catalyst suitable to cure the polymer formulation, wherein the composition is suitable to cross-link and/or cure at within 0.1 to 120 minutes at a temperature in a range of from 0 to 450° C. within a device into which the composition is injected. The invention also relates to a method of cleaning a material processing device.
LAUNDRY METHOD
Method for softening knitted cotton, wherein knitted cotton is treated with an ancillary laundry composition comprising: a. Soil release polymer b. Silicone c. less than 4 w.t.% surfactant; and d. Water wherein the method comprises delivering the ancillary laundry composition into the wash or rise stage and comprises the steps of: a. Pouring a laundry product into a washing receptacle, a washing machine drawer, or a dosing shuttle b. Pouring the ancillary laundry composition on top of the laundry product. Use of the method for softening knitted cotton.
FABRIC CARE COMPOSITIONS THAT INCLUDE A COPOLYMER AND RELATED METHODS
Fabric care compositions that include a linear copolymer. Methods and uses relating to such compositions and/or graft copolymers.
