LIQUID FABRIC SOFTENING COMPOSITION
The present disclosure provides compositions for use as in-rinse softeners for textiles. The compositions can be in the form of liquid fabric softeners that can be configured to substantially avoid build-up on treated fabrics. In particular, the compositions can comprise predominately water and at least a conditioning agent, such as a polymeric quaternary ammonium salt, that will provide conditioning and softening effects to a treated fabric without leaving behind undesired build-up. The compositions optionally may include further components, such as anti-static agents, chlorine scavengers, preservatives, and acidifying agents.
Acidic hard surface cleaners comprising alkylpyrrolidones
The need for an acidic liquid hard surface cleaning composition which provides improved removal of grease residues, while still being effective at removing limes-scale, is met by formulating an acidic liquid hard surface cleaning composition with an alkyl pyrrolidone, and additional nonionic surfactant selected from the group consisting of: alkoxylated nonionic surfactant, alkyl polyglucoside, and mixtures thereof, while limiting the amount of anionic surfactant present.
AMPHIPHILIC ALKOXYLATED POLYETHYLENE/-PROPYLENE IMINE COPOLYMERS FOR MULTI-BENEFIT DETERGENT FORMULATIONS
Described herein is an amphiphilic alkoxylated polyethylene/-propylene imine copolymer. Also described herein is a process for manufacturing the amphiphilic alkoxylated polyethylene/-propylene imine copolymer and a method of using the amphiphilic alkoxylated polyethylene/-propylene imine copolymer.
POLYAMINE-POLYESTERS AS CORROSION INHIBITION
Compounds, compositions and methods are provided for reducing, inhibiting, or preventing corrosion of a surface, using a polyester polyamine compound. The polyester polyamine compound having a structure corresponding to Formula 1 or 2, or a salt thereof:
##STR00001##
wherein R.sub.1 is independently alkylene; R.sub.2 is independently hydrogen or —COR.sub.4; R.sub.3 is independently alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, or alkaryl; R.sub.4 is independently alkyl or alkenyl; R.sub.10 and R.sub.11 are each independently hydrogen, alkyl, or alkaryl; m is an integer from 1 to 10; n is an integer from 3 to 10; and wherein at least one R.sub.2 is —COR.sub.4.
Multi-capsule compositions
A capsule delivery system. The system has a first capsule containing a first capsule wall encapsulating a first active material and a second capsule containing a second capsule wall encapsulating a second active material. The first and second capsules differ in their wall materials, amounts of wall materials, ratios of wall materials, core modifiers, scavengers, active materials, curing temperatures, heating rates, curing times, or a combination thereof. Also provided is a consumer product containing this capsule delivery system.
Precursor polyelectrolyte complex compositions in dual chamber dispensing system
The invention relates to compositions and methods of treatment employing compositions comprising polyelectrolyte complexes. The compositions include a water-soluble first polyelectrolyte bearing a net cationic charge or capable of developing a net cationic charge and a water-soluble second polyelectrolyte bearing a net anionic charge or capable of developing a net anionic charge. The total polyelectrolyte concentration of the first solution is at least 110 millimolar. The composition is free of coacervates, precipitates, latex particles, synthetic block copolymers, silicone copolymers, cross-linked poly(acrylic) and cross-linked water-soluble polyelectrolyte. The composition may be a concentrate, to be diluted prior to use to treat a surface.
Use of Polymer Blends To Reduce Or Eliminate Amine Oxide In Hand Dishwashing Detergents
A method of improving or stabilizing foaming of a hand dishwashing detergent composition when combined with water is achieved by providing one or more of polyethyleneimine ethoxylate and polyethylene glycol to a hand dishwashing detergent composition comprising an amine oxide. Hand dishwashing detergent compositions to reduce amine oxide content contain water, surfactant base, and foaming booster consisting of amine oxide, and one or more of polyethyleneimine ethoxylate and polyethylene glycol. A foaming booster consisting of polyethyleneimine ethoxylate and polyethylene glycol can eliminate use of amine oxides.
DETERGENT COMPOSITION
The invention provides a method of inhibiting lipase activity in a detergent composition, said method involving incorporation of from 0.25 to 40 wt. % of a saponin into said lipase containing composition, wherein said detergent composition preferably is a home care detergent composition, more preferably a laundry detergent composition; and to the use of saponin to inhibit lipase activity in a detergent composition, preferably a laundry detergent composition, wherein the saponin is present in the detergent formulation at a level of from 0.25 to 40 wt. %, wherein said detergent composition preferably is a home care detergent composition, more preferably a laundry detergent composition.
Polyethyleneimine compounds containing N-halamine and derivatives thereof
This invention relates to odor control molecules comprised of polyethyleneimine compounds containing N-halamine and derivatives thereof.
AUTOMATIC DISHWASHING COMPOSITION COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE IMIDAZOLE-BASED COMPOUND
Described herein is an automatic dishwashing (ADW) composition including as component (A) at least one imidazole-based compound selected from the group consisting of unsubstituted or at least monosubstituted imidazole and benzimidazole. The automatic dishwashing composition may include further components, such as polyakylene imines (component (B)), at least one silicate (component (C)) and/or at least one chelating agent (component (D)). Also described herein is a process for cleaning dishware using said ADW composition as well as a method of using said ADW composition, for example, to reduce any corrosion on the items to be dishwashed (dishware). Also described herein is a method of using at least one imidazole-based compound according to component (A) as a corrosion inhibitor in automatic dishwashing processes.
