PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF MICROCAPSULES
The present invention relates to a new process for the preparation of melamine-formaldehyde free microcapsules. Microcapsules obtainable by said process are also an object of the invention. Perfuming compositions and consumer products comprising said capsules, in particular perfumed consumer products in the form of home care or personal care products, are also part of the invention.
Method of imparting water repellency with non-fluorinated laundry treatment compositions
The present invention discloses a method of imparting water repellency and optionally stain release to fibrous substrates by contacting a fibrous substrate with a non-fluorinated laundry treatment composition inside a laundry machine. The laundry treatment composition contains a hydrophobic organic urethane compound having a urethane linkage and the residue of a substituted cyclic or acyclic sugar alcohol. Laundry additive compositions containing a first laundry treatment composition, having a hydrophobic organic urethane compound, and a second laundry treatment composition are also included.
Thickening agent for aqueous systems, formulations containing same and uses thereof
The present invention relates to novel associative thickeners pertaining to the HEUR category (Hydrophobically-modified Ethoxylated URethane), to intermediate aqueous formulations containing such thickeners, and to the final compositions, for example paint, lacquer, varnish or paper coating slip compositions.
CLEANING COMPOSITION FOR INDUSTRIAL COATING LINE
1) Cleaning composition comprising: from 5% to 99% of a thermoplastic polymer which does not react with moisture (a), from 1% to 15% of a monofunctional silane compound (b); from 0% to 94% of a compound (c) chosen from a plasticizer (c1), an oil (c2) or a tackifying resin (c3); said composition being homogeneous and having a Brookfield viscosity, measured at 100 C., within the range extending from 20 to 200 000 mPa.Math.s.
2) Process for cleaning the walls of items of industrial equipment which are coated with a layer of composition C comprising a polymer P having alkoxysilane groups, said process comprising the mixing of said composition C with the cleaning composition according to 1).
Hydrophobically modified urea ethers as structurants for hydrophobic systems
Consumer product compositions comprising hydrophobically modified urea ethers.
Biobased Core-Shell Microcapsules
The present invention relates to (amino)saccharide-based polyurea and/or polyurethane-based microcapsules containing at least one lipophilic active ingredient, which have a good balance of increased biodegradability, stability in product formulations, and performance compared to commercially available state-of-the-art microcapsules, which are fully synthetically based. Moreover, the present invention discloses a microcapsule slurry comprising a plurality of said core-shell microcapsules dispersed in an aqueous phase. In addition, the present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a microcapsule slurry and the biobased core-shell microcapsules contained therein as such. In a further aspect, the invention described herein relates to the use of such microcapsules or microcapsule dispersions comprising the microcapsules according to the invention for the production of various consumer products. Finally, the present invention also relates to consumer products comprising such microcapsules or microcapsule dispersions.
IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO ORGANIC COMPOUNDS
Disclosed are an encapsulated composition comprising a plurality of core-shell microcapsules and a use of such an encapsulated composition for making a consumer product.
Microcapsules and Methods for Preparing Microcapsules
The invention provides a method for producing a microcapsule. The method involves inducing encapsulation of an organic phase by a complex coacervate and polymerising a polyisocyanate at an interface of the organic phase, and adding a crosslinking agent to form crosslinks. The invention also provides a microcapsule obtained by the method, a composition having a plurality of microcapsules and a consumer product. The microcapsules may be used to encapsule a cargo. Also provided is a composition for preparing a microcapsule. The composition includes a polycation and a polyanion in an aqueous phase, a polyisocyanate in an organic phase, and a crosslinking agent.
BIODEGRADABLE PREPOLYMER MICROCAPSULES
This disclosure relates to a biodegradable core-shell microcapsule that includes (a) a shell containing the reaction product of an isocyanate-functionalized prepolymer with a crosslinker and optionally a polyelectrolyte under an aqueous condition, and (b) a core containing an active material, wherein the isocyanate-functionalized prepolymer is the reaction product of a polyisocyanate with a biopolymer and/or an amphiphilic compound under an anhydrous condition, and the microcapsule shell is substantially free of or free of a self-condensed polyisocyanate. This disclosure also relates to a process of preparing such biodegradable core-shell microcapsule. This disclosure also relates to a consumer product containing such biodegradable core-shell microcapsule. This disclosure also relates to a process of making the isocyanate-functionalized prepolymer.
Biodegradable Polyurea/Polyurethane Microcapsules
The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of biodegradable polyurea/polyurethane microcapsules, preferably perfume-containing polyurea/polyurethane microcapsules, which have a balance of biodegradability, stability and performance compared to prior art microcapsules. In addition, the present invention relates to biodegradable polyurea/polyurethane microcapsules comprising at least one lipophilic active ingredient obtainable by the process of the invention. In another aspect, the invention described herein relates to the use of such microcapsules or microcapsule dispersions comprising the microcapsules according to the invention for the manufacture of household products, textile care products, detergents, fabric softeners, cleaning agents, scent boosters, scent lotion or scent enhancers, cosmetics, personal care products, agricultural products or pharmaceutical products.
