Treatment compositions
The present invention relates to treatment compositions containing polymer systems that provide stability and benefit agent deposition as well as methods of making and using same. Such treatment compositions may be used for example as through the wash and/or through the rinse fabric enhancers as well as unit dose treatment compositions.
ANTI-REDEPOSITION ADDITIVE FOR LAUNDRY DETERGENT
A laundry detergent composition comprising an anti-redeposition agent, a surfactant, and optionally a builder, wherein the anti-redeposition agent is a polymer comprising polymerized units of: (a) from 5 to 40 wt % of at least one nitrogen-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer having at least one pKa value from 6 to 11.5, and (b) from 60 to 95 wt % of at least one ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer.
Chloride-free cationic polymers using acetate anions
A composition contains ethylenically unsaturated quaternary ammonium cations with acetate counterions, where each of the ethylenically unsaturated ammonium cations contain only one non-aromatic carbon-carbon double bond and the composition contains less than one mole-percent chloride relative to quaternary ammonium cations can be polymerized to form a cationic polymer acetate.
FABRIC CARE COMPOSITION
A fabric care composition including a plurality of particles, wherein each of the particles include a fabric care agent, water, a sugar alcohol polyol, and a modified starch. The modified starch can have a dextrose equivalent from 4 to 20. The fabric care active agent, said water, and said sugar alcohol polyol are dispersed in the modified starch.
ANTI-ADHERENT COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF INHIBITING THE ADHERENCE OF MICROBES TO A SURFACE
Methods of inhibiting microbes from attaching to a surface and anti-adherent compositions are disclosed. One method can include providing an anti-adherent composition that includes an anti-adherent agent configured to inhibit microbes from attaching to the surface. The anti-adherent agent can be: Acrylates Copolymer, Trimethylpentanediol/Adipic Acid/Glycerin crosspolymer, Trimethylpentanediol/Adipic Acid Copolymer, Ethylhexyl Stearate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Acrylates/C12-22 Alkylmethacrylate Copolymer, Octocrylene, Ethylene Oxide/Propylene Oxide Block Copolymer, Polyquaternium-101, or any combinations thereof. The method can include applying the composition to the surface and allowing at least some of the composition to remain on the surface such that the anti-adherent agent inhibits microbes from attaching to the surface. The anti-adherent composition can include a humectant and can be non-antimicrobial.
Solid perfume composition delivering softening
Solid particulate compositions for fabric treatment having at least one cationic polymer, at least one water-soluble carrier, at least one fragrance, at least one buffer system, and other optional ingredients. During a wash cycle, the compositions deliver softening to the fabrics. The disclosure further provides a method of making a solid particulate composition for fabric treatment including: mixing a water-soluble solid carrier and a buffer system to form a mixture; wherein the solid carrier is an aqueous salt having a water vapor partial pressure at a temperature from about 30° C. to about 100° C. that corresponds to the water vapor partial pressure of a saturated solution of the salt at the same temperature; adding a cationic polymer and a fragrance into the mixture; mixing the mixture; heating the mixture and obtaining a melt thereby; and cooling and shaping the melt into individual particles including melt bodies.

Polymerizable composition, polymer capsule and fabric softener composition comprising the same
A polymerizable composition, polymer capsules and a fabric softener composition are provided. The fabric softener composition includes polymer capsules in which cationic groups are introduced on the surfaces thereof, so that early release of a fragrance can be suppressed and aromas can be generated depending on rupture of a shell material of the polymer capsules by light friction at certain times. In addition, the polymer capsules have high adhesion to fibers and are not attached to fibers during washing to minimize the discharged fragrance, so that sufficient aromas can be provided even if a small amount of fragrance is used.
Soft contact lens treatment solution
Provided is a treating solution for soft contact lenses capable of imparting hydrophilicity and sustainability thereof to a soft contact lens surface. It has been found that a treating solution for soft contact lenses containing a copolymer that contains two kinds of monomers different from each other as constituent units at a specific ratio, and that has a specific weight-average molecular weight can impart excellent hydrophilicity and sustainability thereof.
