GRANULES OR POWDERS AND METHODS FOR THEIR MANUFACTURE
Process for manufacturing granules or powders comprising the steps of (a) providing an aqueous solution or slurry of (A) at least one chelating agent according to general formula (I a) [CH.sub.3—CH(COO)—N(CH.sub.2—COO).sub.2]M.sub.3-XH.sub.X (I a) wherein M is selected from alkali metal cations and ammonium, same or different, and x is in the range of from 0.01 to 1.0 or (I b) [OOC—CH.sub.2CH.sub.2—CH(COO)—N(CH.sub.2—COO).sub.2]M.sub.4-XH.sub.X (I b) wherein M is as defined above, and x in formula (I b) is in the range of from 0.01 to 2.0, and (B) at least one polymer selected from (B1) polyaspartates with an average molecular weight M.sub.w in the range of from 1,000 to 20,000 g/mole, and (B2) copolymers comprising, in copolymerized form, (α) at least one ester of an ethylenically unsaturated mono- or dicarboxylic acid, and (β) at least one ethylenically unsaturated N-containing monomer, and (b) spray drying or granulating said solution or slurry.
DETERGENT COMPOSITION COMPRISING AN INVERSE LATEX COMBINING A PARTICULAR SEQUESTRANT AND A POLYELECTROLYTE COMPRISING A STRONG ACID FUNCTION AND A NEUTRAL FUNCTION
Detergent composition (F) for domestic or industrial use including, as thickener, a self-invertible inverse latex including an aqueous phase including: a) a crosslinked anionic polyelectrolyte (P) consisting of: —at least one first monomer unit derived from 2-methyl-2-[(1-oxo-2-propenyl)amino]-1-propanesulfonic acid in free acid form or partially or totally salified form; —at least one second monomer unit derived from at least one monomer chosen from the elements of the group consisting of 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, 2,3-dihydroxypropyl acrylate, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, 2,3-dihydroxypropyl methacrylate, or vinylpyrrolidone; and—at least one monomer unit derived from a polyethylenic crosslinking monomer (AR), b) at least one sequestrant compound (SQ) chosen from the elements of the group consisting of ethylenediaminedisuccinic acid in trisodium salt form, the glutamic acid, N,N-diacetic acid, tetrasodium salt, and the sodium salt of iminosuccinic acid.
CONTACT LENS TREATMENT SOLUTION
The present invention is a contact lens treatment solution containing the following copolymer A and copolymer B in a ratio of A/B=1000/1 to 2/1 (by weight). According to the present invention, there can be provided a contact lens treatment solution capable of removing dirt having adhered to contact lens surfaces and capable of imparting persisting hydrophilicity to contact lens surfaces, by simple immersion treatment. Copolymer A: a copolymer obtained by copolymerization of a monomer (a) represented by formula (1) and a monomer (b) represented by formula (2), in which the copolymerization ratio of the monomer (a) to the monomer (b), a/b=7/3 to 9/1 (by mol), and having a weight-average molecular weight of 400,000 to 700,000. Copolymer B: a copolymer obtained by copolymerization of a monomer (c) represented by formula (3) and a monomer (d) represented by formula (4), in which the copolymerization ratio of the monomer (c) to the monomer (d), c/d=1/4 to 9/1 (by mol), and having a weight-average molecular weight of 20,000 to 90,000.
Solid Perfume Composition Delivering Softening
Solid particulate compositions for fabric treatment having at least one cationic polymer, at least one water-soluble carrier, at least one fragrance, at least one buffer system, and other optional ingredients. During a wash cycle, the compositions deliver softening to the fabrics. The disclosure further provides a method of making a solid particulate composition for fabric treatment including: mixing a water-soluble solid carrier and a buffer system to form a mixture; wherein the solid carrier is an aqueous salt having a water vapor partial pressure at a temperature from about 30° C. to about 100° C. that corresponds to the water vapor partial pressure of a saturated solution of the salt at the same temperature; adding a cationic polymer and a fragrance into the mixture; mixing the mixture; heating the mixture and obtaining a melt thereby; and cooling and shaping the melt into individual particles including melt bodies.
POWDER DETERGENT COMPOSITION
Described herein is a powder detergent composition including a detergent active material including at least a surfactant system, and a granulated powder. The granulated powder includes particles made of: (a) a water soluble polymer matrix, and (b) an oil phase including a perfume dispersed in the water soluble polymer matrix, the oil being at least partly encapsulated in microcapsules. The granulated powder includes up to 30% by weight of encapsulated oil based on the total weight of the powder.

Portable stain removal kit (1) for locally removing a stained area on a fabric comprising a container (4) for containing a stain removing material (5) in a solid form, the container (4) being intended to be in direct contact with the stained area when the portable stain removal kit (1) is in use, whereby said portable stain removal kit (1) also comprises a base holder (3) for holding the container (4), and a cover (2) cooperating with the base holder (3) for enclosing the container (4) when the portable stain removal kit (1) is not in use.

The present invention provides a carboxyl group-containing copolymer having a better calcium ion trapping ability and a better carbon black dispersing ability than any conventional carboxyl group-containing copolymers. The present invention relates to a carboxyl group-containing copolymer including a structural unit (a) derived from an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid monomer (A), a structural unit (b) derived from an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid monomer (B), and a structural unit (c) derived from a cationic monomer (C).
PRECURSOR POLYELECTROLYTE COMPLEXES COMPOSITIONS
The invention relates to compositions and methods of treatment employing compositions comprising polyelectrolyte complexes. The compositions include a water-soluble first polyelectrolyte bearing a net cationic charge or capable of developing a net cationic charge and a water-soluble second polyelectrolyte bearing a net anionic charge or capable of developing a net anionic charge. The total polyelectrolyte concentration of the first solution is at least 110 millimolar. The composition is free of coacervates, precipitates, latex particles, synthetic block copolymers, silicone copolymers, cross-linked poly(acrylic) and cross-linked water-soluble polyelectrolyte. The composition may be a concentrate, to be diluted prior to use to treat a surface.
Liquid acidic hard surface cleaning compositions having improved viscosity
The need for an acidic hard surface cleaning composition which provides further improvements in the maintenance of surface shine, especially on inclined hard surfaces, while also using less thickener is met by formulating the acidic hard surface cleaning composition using a combination of a surface modification polymer and sulfonate hydrotrope.
