Whitening agents for cellulosic substrates

This invention relates to novel whitening agents for cellulosic substrates. The whitening agents are comprised of at least two components: at least one chromophore component and at least one polymeric component. Suitable chromophore components generally fluoresce blue, red, violet, or purple color when exposed to ultraviolet light, or they may absorb light to reflect these same shades. The whitening agents are further characterized by having a dispersion component value of the Hansen Solubility Parameter of less than or equal to about 17 MPa.sup.0.5. This invention also relates to laundry care compositions including but not limited to liquid and/or powder laundry detergent formulations and rinse added fabric softening (RAFS) compositions that comprise such whitening agents.

Water-soluble unit dose articles comprising enzyme

Described herein is a household care composition, which delivers active agents onto fabric, in the form of a water-soluble unit dose article comprising a water-soluble fibrous structure and a concentrated enzyme composition, as well as methods for making the article and methods for treating fabrics using the article.

Product and method for removal of biofilms

Composition for the removal of biofilms present on a substrate, characterized in that it comprises at least one detergent component comprising a sequestrant and also a wetting agent and a dispersant and at least one enzymatic component containing at least one protease, at least one laccase and at least one polysaccharidase, method of implementation thereof and uses thereof.

Liquid laundry detergent comprising lauryl ether sulfate and bicarbonate/metasilicate mixture

The invention relates to a liquid laundry detergent composition suitable for cleaning textiles. In addition to at least one surfactant the detergent according to the invention comprises at least one water-soluble metasilicate, at least one water-soluble bicarbonate, at least one water-soluble glutamate and at least one polymeric rheology modifier in an aqueous medium. These components form a detergent framework allowing to reduce the amount of surfactant(s) compared to conventional liquid detergents, which is advantageous for economic, safety and environmental reasons, as less surfactants are consumed and subsequently disposed into wastewater to achieve the similar washing/cleaning performance.

STABILIZED GLYCOSIDE HYDROLASE VARIANTS

Disclosed are variants of a glycoside hydrolase having improved stability, e.g., in the presence of a protease, and the use of such variants in detergent applications, such as laundry or dish wash.

Polypeptide variants

Detergent compositions including polypeptide variants and methods of cleaning and/or treatment of surfaces using such compositions, and fabric treatment compositions including polypeptide variants. The compositions may include surfactants: anionic, nonionic and/or cationic.
