Whitening agents for cellulosic substrates
This invention relates to novel whitening agents for cellulosic substrates. The whitening agents are comprised of at least two components: at least one chromophore component and at least one polymeric component. Suitable chromophore components generally fluoresce blue, red, violet, or purple color when exposed to ultraviolet light, or they may absorb light to reflect these same shades. The whitening agents are further characterized by having a dispersion component value of the Hansen Solubility Parameter of less than or equal to about 17 MPa.sup.0.5. This invention also relates to laundry care compositions including but not limited to liquid and/or powder laundry detergent formulations and rinse added fabric softening (RAFS) compositions that comprise such whitening agents.
Fusion Protein
The invention relates to fusion proteins having depilling, antipilling and/or antigreying performance, and that have improved stability in the presence of proteases. The fusion proteins comprise a cellulase component, a linker component, and a carbohydrate binding component.
Additional Endoglucanase Variants and Methods
The invention is directed to novel variant endoglucanases and their use thereof.
Synergistic cellulase-surfactant interactions for degradation of bacterial cellulose
The disclosure is directed to cleaning compositions, methods of making the cleaning compositions, and methods of using the cleaning compositions. The cleaning compositions comprise an enzyme composition and a nonionic surfactant having an HLB between 10 and 22. Preferably, the enzyme compositions included in the cleaning compositions comprise a cellulase, an AA9 polypeptide having cellulolytic enhancing activity, a hemicellulase, an esterase, an expansin, a laccase, a ligninolytic enzyme, a pectinase, a peroxidase, a protease, a swollenin, or a combination or mixture thereof. The compositions are useful for degradation of bacterial cellulose.
LAUNDRY COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to a rinse added ancillary laundry composition, for improving the softening effect of a fabric conditioner, the ancillary laundry composition comprising: a. Cellulase; b. 0.5-12 wt. % non-ionic surfactant; c. 0.5 to 20 wt. % free perfume; and d. Water.
Alpha-amylase variants and polynucleotides encoding same
The present invention relates to alpha-amylase variants. The present invention also relates to polynucleotides encoding the variants; nucleic acid constructs, vectors, and host cells comprising the polynucleotides; and methods of using the variants.
Liquid laundry detergent comprising lauryl ether sulfate and bicarbonate/metasilicate mixture
The invention relates to a liquid laundry detergent composition suitable for cleaning textiles. In addition to at least one surfactant the detergent according to the invention comprises at least one water-soluble metasilicate, at least one water-soluble bicarbonate, at least one water-soluble glutamate and at least one polymeric rheology modifier in an aqueous medium. These components form a detergent framework allowing to reduce the amount of surfactant(s) compared to conventional liquid detergents, which is advantageous for economic, safety and environmental reasons, as less surfactants are consumed and subsequently disposed into wastewater to achieve the similar washing/cleaning performance.
Stable anhydrous laundry detergent concentrate and method of making same
The invention relates to stable, anhydrous laundry detergent concentrated formulation in solid forms.
Glucan fiber compositions for use in laundry care and fabric care
An enzymatically produced α-glucan oligomer/polymer compositions is provided. The enzymatically produced α-glucan oligomer/polymers can be derivatized into α-glucan ether compounds. The α-glucan oligomers/polymers and the corresponding α-glucan ethers are cellulose and/or protease resistant, making them suitable for use in fabric care and laundry care applications. Methods for the production and use of the present compositions are also provided.
Polypeptide variants
Detergent compositions including polypeptide variants and methods of cleaning and/or treatment of surfaces using such compositions, and fabric treatment compositions including polypeptide variants. The compositions may include surfactants: anionic, nonionic and/or cationic.
