An apparatus for carrying out an operation on slaughtered poultry or on a part of slaughtered poultry. At least one carrier device, a drum which at its periphery is provided with at least one groove, which at least one groove is traced by a roller that is mounted on the at least one carrier device so as to arrange that movement of the at least one carrier device along the periphery of the drum causes the at least one carrier device to execute an operation with reference to the poultry or poultry part. A movable mounting block that supports the roller, wherein the movable mounting block is up-and-down movable with reference to the remainder of the at least one carrier device.

Intestines processing system and method for processing an intestines package

An intestines processing system and method including a conveyor track with carriers, a tissue breaking section and a gallbladder removal station. The carrier can be equipped to move the intestines package through the tissue breaking section for breaking at least some of the tissue connections in the intestines package below the gallbladder, and to move the intestines package through the gallbladder removal station for removing the gallbladder from the remainder of the intestines package.

KEEL STRIP REMOVAL APPARATUS AND METHOD

An apparatus and method to remove a keel strip that is centrally attached to a poultry butterfly. The butterfly has first and second poultry breasts on opposite sides of the keel strip. An elongated, longitudinally-oriented spine defines a butterfly travel path and is disposed above a longitudinally-driven conveyor. A scoring blade is disposed above, and spaced a predetermined distance from, the spine. First and second severing blades are disposed along the butterfly travel path downstream of the scoring blade with the first and second severing blades disposed on opposing first and second lateral sides of the spine. A second longitudinally-driven conveyor is disposed above the spine and ex tends from a first position downstream of the scoring blade to at least a second position between the first and second severing blades.

Method, processing device and processing line for mechanically processing an organ or organs taken out from slaughtered poultry

A method and processing device are provided for processing an organ package taken out from slaughtered poultry. The device uses at least two cooperating rollers that define a nip between the rollers for selectively allowing preselected organs from the organ package to pass through the nip. During operation, the rollers rotate in opposite directions in order to convey the organ package and simultaneously promote that the preselected organs pass through the nip. The rollers have a cross-sectional diameter, the value of which varies as seen in the longitudinal direction of the rollers and depends on the location of the cross-section between an entrance portion and an exit portion of said rollers so as to provide each of the rollers with a superficial curved contour.
