A process for making a particle, the particle includes: a) a nitrogen-containing cleaning-active in the form of a salt wherein the salt has a pH in 1% weight aqueous solution measured at 25 C. greater than 9; and b) a malodor-reducing agent including an acid group wherein the process includes the step of adding the malodor-reducing agent to the nitrogen-containing cleaning-active wherein the malodor-reducing agent is added in the absence of water.

The present disclosure relates to an automatic dishwasher detergent which comprises metal complex of formula M.sup.n+L(A.sup.m?).sub.n/m, wherein M is a metal cation, A is an arbitrary anion, n and m are integers selected from 1 to 6, and L is a neutral ligand of formula (II), wherein each X is as defined herein, and which exhibits improved cleaning performance in the removal of burnt-on soiling, to the use of this dishwasher detergent, and to a method for automatically washing dishes using this dishwasher detergent.

ALKALINE DETERGENT COMPOSITION CONTAINING A CARBOXYLIC ACID TERPOLYMER FOR HARD WATER SCALE CONTROL

A highly alkaline detergent is described which includes the use of a carboxylic acid terpolymer in combination with an alkali metal hydroxide. The detergent maintains cleaning functions and also prevents hard water scaling at application temperatures, for example at temperatures of between about 145-180 degrees Fahrenheit and, for example, at a pH of 9.5 to about 13.

A machine dishwash detergent composition comprising: from 0.1 to 20 wt. % non-ionic surfactant; and from 0.5 to 40 wt. % of free acid equivalent of aminopolycarboxylate; and from 0.5 to 4.0 wt. % of free acid equivalent of tetra- to octa-carboxylic acid, wherein the molecular weight is at most 1000 g/mol; and wherein the tetra to octa-carboxylic acid is does not contain N and P atoms, nor contains cyclic moieties; and wherein the amount of phosphate is at most 1.0 wt. %; and wherein the amount of phosphonate is at most 1.0 wt. %.

The present invention relates to a detergent tablet, in particular, it relates to a detergent tablet for providing a liquid cleaning composition on dissolution in water. It discloses a unit dose tablet comprising at least 10% by weight surfactant; and a dissolving aid selected from hydrated monosaccharides, hydrated disaccharides, hydrated oligosaccharides and combinations thereof, wherein the ratio of the surfactant to the dissolving aid is at least 1:1.5 by weight. It further discloses a process for forming a liquid cleaning composition comprising the steps of providing water in a container, adding said tablet into the water, wherein the ratio of tablet to water is in the range from 1:5 to 1:100 by weight.

COPOLYMERS FOR IMPROVING THE RINSING POWER

A dishwashing detergent having improved rinsing power, comprising, relative to the total weight of the dishwashing detergent, 0.1 to 25.0 wt % of a copolymer obtainable by the polymerization of 70-95 mol % of at least one C.sub.2-4 alkene monomer; and 5-30 mol % of at least one ethylenically unsaturated C.sub.3-8 carboxylic acid monomer or a salt thereof. The use of this dishwashing detergent and a method for washing dishes in a dishwasher using this dishwashing detergent and the use of the copolymers for improving the rinsing power of the dishwashing detergent.
