Disclosed is a unit dose laundry detergent product containing an in-vitro, delayed onset fluid gel detergent composition and a water soluble film pouch for enclosing the detergent composition. The composition includes a linear alkylbenzene sulfonate and/or an alcohol ethoxy sulfate having a C.sub.8-C.sub.20 backbone that is ethoxylated with from about 1 to about 10 moles of ethylene oxide, and a non-ionic surfactant comprising an alkoxylated alcohol, in an amount from 20 to 70 wt %, water in an amount from about 10 to about 30 wt %, free fatty acids in an amount from about 2 to 12 wt %, a magnesium cation in an amount of from 0.15 to 1 wt %, and colloidal particles such as an encapsulated fragrance. The composition is opacified and structured yet free of a structuring agent or an opacifying agent. Also disclosed is a method of making such product.

An article is provided including an aqueous liquid detergent, and a package for the aqueous liquid detergent which is in direct contact with the aqueous liquid detergent, wherein the package is formed from a water-soluble, film-forming material. The aqueous liquid detergent includes at least about 40% by weight of water based on the total weight of the aqueous liquid detergent, a builder comprising potassium carbonate, wherein the potassium carbonate is present in an amount of at least about 25 weight percent, based on the total weight of the aqueous liquid detergent, a first surfactant, wherein the first surfactant is an anionic surfactant, and a second surfactant, wherein the second surfactant is a nonionic or an amphoteric surfactant. The first surfactant and the second surfactant are present in a combined total amount of about 0.1% to about 25% percent by weight based on the total weight of the aqueous liquid detergent.

Buildup in a plumbing fixture is removed by providing a bag containing a quantity of concentrated fixture cleaning chemicals and then securing the bag to the fixture to be cleaned. After securing the bag to the fixture, the bag is filled with water from the fixture which mixes with the concentrated chemicals to create a cleaning solution that covers the fixture, and then the fixture is allowed to soak in the created cleaning solution to thereby dissolve the buildup.

A unit dose detergent pack includes a pouch and a detergent composition encapsulated within the pouch. The detergent composition includes a surfactant component including an alcohol ethoxy sulfate having a C.sub.8-C.sub.20 backbone that is ethoxylated with from about 1 to about 10 moles of ethylene oxide and is present in an amount of from about 5 to about 30 weight percent actives, water present in a total amount of from about 5 to about 30 weight percent, and a particular tertiary amine present in an amount of at least about 0.5 weight percent actives. The detergent composition has a viscosity of less than about 5,000 cps when diluted with additional water at about a 2:1 weight ratio of the detergent composition:water. The block copolymer is incorporated as a rheology modifying agent.

A laundry detergent composition containing an ethylene oxide-propylene oxide-ethylene oxide (EO/PO/EO) triblock copolymer and a lipase enzyme and use of an ethylene oxide-propylene oxide-ethylene oxide (EO/PO/EO) triblock copolymer and lipase enzyme in the laundry detergent composition.

An article is provided including an aqueous gel detergent; and a package for the aqueous gel detergent which is in direct contact with the aqueous gel detergent, wherein the package is formed from a water-soluble, film-forming material. The aqueous gel detergent includes: at least about 40% by weight of water based on the total weight of the aqueous gel detergent; a builder comprising potassium carbonate, wherein the potassium carbonate is present in an amount of at least about 25 weight percent, based on the total weight of the aqueous gel detergent; a polymer; at least one surfactant; and encapsulated enzymes which are suspended in the aqueous gel detergent.

The present invention is in the field of machine dishwashing compositions. More particularly, it relates to machine dishwashing compositions comprising a phosphonate and polycarboxylate comprising acrylic acid monomers. The invention also relates to a method of washing kitchenware in a machine dishwasher with a machine dishwashing composition comprising a phosphonate and a polycarboxylate comprising acrylic acid monomers and a process for making said composition.

A process for sealing a first water-soluble polyvinylalcohol film to a second water-soluble polyvinylalcohol film.

A water-soluble film includes a polyvinyl alcohol resin (A) as a main component, wherein the ratio (X.sub.TD/X.sub.MD) of a degree of elongation (X.sub.TD) in the transverse direction (TD) of the water-soluble film to a degree of elongation (X.sub.MD) in the machine direction (MD) thereof when the water-soluble film is floated on the surface of water at 20° C. for 60 seconds is from 1.05 to 1.5. The water-soluble film exhibits reduced curling, exhibits reduced positional shift, and shows satisfactory sealability while forming a package.

A portioned washing or cleaning agent in a container made of water-soluble material comprising at least two compartments which are separated from each other, wherein in at least one compartment a liquid washing or cleaning agent and in at least one further compartment, different herefrom, a powdery washing or cleaning agent is located which comprises core shell microcapsules in the form of microcapsule granulate, wherein the microcapsules comprise at least one additive in the core.
