TREATMENT OF ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION BY FIBROBLAST ADMINISTRATION
In some aspects, disclosed herein are methods and compositions for treatment of erectile dysfunction using regenerative fibroblasts or cells derived from fibroblasts. Methods and compositions disclosed also include those for generating regenerative fibroblast cells from fibroblasts. Also disclosed are methods and compositions for treatment of erectile dysfunction using regenerative fibroblast-conditioned media. Regenerative fibroblast cells generated from fibroblasts and regenerative fibroblast-conditioned media are also described.
GENE MODIFIED FIBROBLASTS FOR THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS
Disclosed are compositions of matter, cells, protocols and procedures useful for augmentation of one or more therapeutic activities of fibroblast cellular populations. In one embodiment, fibroblasts are cultured in an acidic pH incubation medium before genetic modification, after genetic modification, or both. In another embodiment, fibroblasts are cultured under hypoxic conditions. In another embodiment, fibroblasts are treated with mitogenic factor-comprising composition(s) to increase the efficacy of genetic modification, wherein the mitogenic factor(s) may be cytokines, peptides, and/or proteins. In another embodiment, a therapeutically effective amount of the genetically modified fibroblasts are provided as a therapeutic application to an individual in need thereof. In another embodiment, the therapeutic application is treatment of fibrosis, treatment of inflammation, acceleration of healing, treatment of clotting disorders, or promotion of angiogenesis.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING THREE-DIMENSIONAL CELL STRUCTURE, AND THREE-DIMENSIONAL CELL STRUCTURE
A method for producing a three-dimensional cell structure includes preparing a mixture of a cationic substance, an extracellular matrix component, a polyelectrolyte, and a cell population including endothelial cells and mouse-derived stromal cells, which exclude mouse-derived endothelial cells, collecting a cell aggregate from the mixture, and culturing a collected cell aggregate to obtain a three-dimensional cell structure.
Delivery Across Cell Plasma Membranes
Delivering a payload across a plasma membrane of a cell includes providing a population of cells and contacting the population of cells with a volume of an aqueous solution. The aqueous solution includes the payload and alcohol content greater than 5 percent concentration. The volume of the aqueous solution may be a function of exposed surface area of the population of cells, or may be a function of a number of cells in the population of cells. Related compositions, apparatus, systems, techniques, and articles are also described.
METHOD FOR CULTURING NORMAL CELLS AND ODONTOMA CELLS CONTAINED IN ORAL TISSUE
The present invention provides a method for culturing odontoma cells or normal cells, wherein these cells are cultured in the presence of a Rho kinase inhibitor.
TREATMENT OF OVARIAN FAILURE USING REGENERATIVE CELLS
Disclosed herein are methods and compositions for treating or preventing ovarian failure using fibroblasts or cells derived from fibroblasts. In some embodiments, ovarian failure is pathological, the result of an intervention, or the result of aging. In some embodiments, regenerative fibroblast cells are administered locally into the ovary or pen-ovary areas or systemically. In some embodiments, regenerative cells act to suppress fibrosis of the ovaries, inhibit inflammation, stimulate maturation of immature ovarian progenitor cells, or directly differentiate into oocytes. In some embodiments, regenerative fibroblasts produce factors that inhibit apoptosis of oocytes and/or oocyte progenitors.
DIFFERENTIATION-INDUCED CELL POPULATION FROM WHICH UNDIFFERENTIATED CELLS HAVE BEEN REMOVED, USE OF SAME, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Provided is a cell population comprising differentiated cells obtainable by inducing differentiation of pluripotent stem cells, wherein the content ratio of undifferentiated pluripotent stem cells is 0.2% or less.
PREVENTION OF RECURRENT MISCARRIAGES THROUGH ADMINISTRATION OF FIBROBLASTS AND FIBROBLAST-EDUCATED PATERNAL CELLS
Embodiments of the disclosure include methods and compositions related to prevention of spontaneous miscarriage in an individual. In certain cases, fibroblasts are provided in an effective amount to an individual in need thereof. Alternatively or in addition, lymphocytes are obtained, cultured with fibroblasts, and provided to an individual. Fibroblasts may modulate an immune response in an individual, thereby reducing the risk of spontaneous miscarriage.
CELL-BASED THERAPY FOR THE PULMONARY SYSTEM
Cell based therapy comprises administration to the lung by injection into the blood system of viable, mammalian cells effective for alleviating or inhibiting pulmonary disorders. The cells may express a therapeutic transgene or the cells may be therapeutic in their own right by inducing regenerative effects.
Device for guiding cell migration and guiding method implementing such a device
The subject matter of the present invention is a device for guiding cell migration comprising a substrate having a textured surface intended to be brought into contact with cells, said textured surface having an anisotropic three-dimensional structure consisting of a network of projections inclined relative to the normal to the plane formed by said textured structure, in the direction imparted by said anisotropic structure. The invention also concerns, according to another aspect, a method for guiding cell migration including the bringing into contact of cells with a substrate having a textured surface and an anisotropic three-dimensional structure, said structure consisting of projections inclined as previously described. The device or method according to the invention can in particular be applied in the fields of dermatology, implantology and tissue engineering.
