ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD GENERATOR ALIGNMENT
Systems and methods for electromagnetic field generator alignment are disclosed. In one aspect, the system includes an electromagnetic (EM) sensor configured to generate, when positioned in a working volume of the EM field, one or more EM sensor signals based on detection of the EM field, the EM sensor configured for placement on a patient. The system may also include a processor and a memory storing computer-executable instructions to cause the processor to: determine a position of the EM sensor with respect to the field generator based on the one or more EM sensor signals, encode a representation of the position of the EM sensor with respect to the working volume of the EM field, and provide the encoded representation of the position to a display configured to render encoded data.
Living body detection method and living body detection system
A living body detection method and a living body detection system are provided. A radio-frequency signal reflected by an experiment living body is received, and raw sampling data of the RF signal are obtained. A feature extraction process is performed to generate initial training features of sampling datasets, wherein the initial training features respectively correspond to feature generation rules. A classification prediction model is established according to a posture of the experiment living body and the initial training features, and correlation feature weightings respectively corresponding to the initial training features are obtained. Preferred features corresponding to at least one of the feature generation rules are selected from the initial training features according to the correlation feature weightings. Another classification prediction model configured for determining a posture of a detection living body is established according to the posture of the experiment living body and the preferred features.
Metabolic and cardiopulmonary monitor
A system includes a control unit configured to be worn by a subject, and having a wireless transceiver configured to receive and transmit signals and a processor coupled to a memory, at least one respiratory volume sensor mountable to the chest or abdomen of the subject and at least one secondary sensor mountable relative to the subject. The respiratory volume sensor is configured to operably generate one or more volumetric signals representative of a respiratory volume of the subject and communicate the one or more volumetric signals to the wireless transceiver of the control unit. The at least one secondary sensor is configured to operably generate one or more secondary signals and representative of at least one of a physiological, a cardiopulmonary or a metabolic condition of the subject, and communicate the one or more secondary signals to the wireless transceiver of the control unit.
SCANNING DEVICE FOR LIVING OBJECTS
A device for providing a non-contact, time-resolved three-dimensional scan of at least one structural element of a living object which uses microwaves, that comprises besides at least one antenna element, at least one transmitter and at least one receiver, at least one comparator for comparing emitted microwaves and microwaves which are reflected off and at least one analyzer for analyzing at least one property of the emitted microwaves and the received microwaves out of the group of time, frequency, phase, polarization and amplitude. Further the device comprises at least one control and/or processing unit designed for repetitively sampling two-dimensional images in which each pixel contains information about the precise distance and/or velocity of said structural elements towards the antenna elements. The invention allows a repeated spatial reconstruction of the structural element in a living object.
Methods and systems for monitoring blood pressure in a person using radio waves
Methods and systems for monitoring blood pressure in a person are disclosed. A method for monitoring a blood pressure in a person involves transmitting millimeter range radio waves over a three-dimensional (3D) space below the skin surface of a person, receiving radio waves on multiple receive antennas, the received radio waves including a reflected portion of the transmitted radio waves that is reflected by blood in a blood vessel in the 3D space, isolating a signal that corresponds to the portion of the transmitted radio waves that is reflected by blood in the blood vessel in response to receiving the radio waves on the multiple receive antennas, and outputting a signal that corresponds to a blood pressure level in the person in response to the isolated signal.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OPTIMUM CHANNEL SELECTION IN TWIN RADAR FOR CARDIOPULMONARY SIGNAL MONITORING
This disclosure relates to selection of optimum channel in twin radars for efficient detection of cardiopulmonary signal rates. State-of-the-art solutions involve use of IQ (In-phase and Quadrature) channel radar which need continuous calibration. Distance of the radar from a subject being monitored affects performance. The present disclosure enables enhanced cardiopulmonary signal rate monitoring using a time domain approach, wherein only the data from signal reflected off the radar is considered. The solution is also time window adaptive. Signal property and radar physics-based methods have been implemented for selecting an optimum channel in twin radars thereby enhancing detection of respiration rate and breath rate.

In an example, the technique also detects and measures vital signs of each human target by continuous, non-intrusive method. In an example, the vital signs of interest include a heart rate and a respiratory rate, which can provide valuable information about the human's wellness. Additionally, the heart rate and respiratory rate can also be used to identify a particular person, if more than two target humans living in a home. Of course, there can be other variations, modifications, and alternatives.
