The one or more bladders, compartments, chambers, or sipes, and one or more sensors are configured for computer control. A sole and/or a removable inner sole insert for footwear, including one or more bladders, compartments, chambers, internal sipes and sensors in the sole and/or in a removable insert; or on an insole; all being configured for control by a smartphone or other mobile computer device, general purpose or specialized.

Protective dressing with reusable phase-change material cooling insert

A protective dressing includes an outer dressing and an adhesive layer. The outer dressing includes an opening and a cavity sized to receive a phase-change material (PCM) insert inserted through the opening. The adhesive layer is configured to adhere to a patient's skin surrounding an anatomic site. When adhered to the patient's skin, the PCM insert modifies the patient's skin at the anatomic site. The PCM insert may be removed and replaced with another PCM insert. For example, a warm PCM insert may be replaced with a refrigerated PCM insert. The opening of the outer dressing may be self-sealing. The opening of the outer dressing may be sealed with an upper layer dressing coupled to the PCM cooling insert.

Ambulatory medical device including a digital front-end

An ambulatory medical device including a plurality of sensing electrodes and one or more processors operably coupled to the plurality of sensing electrodes is provided. Each sensing electrodes is configured to be coupled eternally to a patient and to detect one or more ECG signals. The one or more processors are configured to receive at least one electrode-specific digital signal for each of the plurality of sensing electrodes, determine a noise component for each of the electrode-specific digital signals, analyze each of the noise components for each of the plurality of sensing electrodes, generate electrode matching information for each sensing electrode of the plurality of sensing electrodes based upon analysis of each of the noise components, determine one or more sensing electrode pairs based upon the electrode matching information, and monitor each of the one or more sensing electrode pairs for ECG activity of the patient.

A measurement device is provided that has a contact surface that comes into contact with a measurement portion of a living body. The measurement device includes a biosensor disposed on the contact surface and has a detection surface that acquires biological information. Moreover, a suction portion is provided that sucks the living body from one or multiple suction holes provided in the contact surface on a periphery of the detection surface of the biosensor.

Automatic Detection and Quantification of Swimming

A wearable device for tracking swim activities of a user is provided. The wearable device may include one or more sensors configured to generate sensor data, and based on the sensor data, the wearable device may determine swim metrics such as swim stroke count, swim stroke type, swim lap count, and swim speed. The determined swim metrics may be filtered based on one or more swim periods during which the user is likely to have been swimming. The wearable device may determine such swim periods based on the sensor data and/or the determined swim metrics.

Cardiovascular signal acquisition, fusion, and noise mitigation

A device including an array of electrodes generates one or more electrical signals from a user, extracts one or more noise signals, and generates one or more de-noised electrical signals upon processing the electrical signal(s) with the noise signal(s). The array of electrodes is coupled to a surface of the device, where the device also includes force sensors in mechanical communication with the surface for detecting user weight and other forces. The device can be configured to generate electrical signals from different subportions of the array of electrodes and to extract noise signals from different subportions of the array of electrodes, where the subportion(s) for electrical signal generation may or may not overlap with the subportion(s) of electrodes for noise signal extraction.
