Non-invasive hydration and electrolyte monitoring
A system for detecting salt ion concentration, comprising a device further comprising a sensor having a carbon printed electrode on a flexible substrate with adhesive on one side (backside) and the circuit electronics to generate pulse signal stimuli and measure salt concentrations to determine hydration level of a person or a living being, wherein the device is a wearable device. The electrode can be made into different shapes changing the area as necessary, since it is a carbon printed electrode and is flexible.
ELECTRODE FOR RECORDING ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAPHIC SIGNALS AND/OR STIMULATING PATIENTS
An electrode is provided for recording electroencephalographic signals and/or for stimulating patients. The electrode includes a patient contact part and a transmission part. A layer of electrolyte material is further provided in contact with the patient's skin and interposed between the patient's skin and the contact part. The contact part and/or the transmission part includes of a soft and/or flexible material.
STRETCH-DEFORMING ELECTRODE AND BIOLOGICAL SENSING SYSTEM
A stretch-deforming electrode includes a stretching portion. The stretching portion has a first stretching range and a second stretching range, in which the stretching portion has a first length variation and a first resistance variation in the first stretching range and a second length variation and a second resistance variation in the second stretching range. The first resistance variation remains substantially unchanged when the first length variation changes, the second resistance variation changes when the second length variation changes. The second resistance variation is represented by R2, the second length variation is represented by L2, and R2=A×L2, in which A is a positive number between 0.05 and 2.
RING-SHAPED EARPHONE
A ring-shaped earphone may be configured to be worn in an ear. When not worn in the ear, the ring-shaped earphone may be conveniently stored on a finger. In one example, the ring-shaped earphone may include a ring-shaped body defined by an outer cylindrical surface and an inner cylindrical surface. The earphone may include a speaker within the ring-shaped body. The speaker may be configured to project sound through a speaker opening in the outer cylindrical surface. The earphone may include a microphone within the housing. The microphone may be configured to receive sound through a microphone opening in the inner cylindrical surface.
Detection and Treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Example inventions detect an occurrence of disturbance during a sleep period of a user. Examples receive data corresponding to a single parameter of the user during the sleep period, determine patterns in the data, and based on the patterns, determine a sleep disturbance severity index (“SDSI”) over the sleep period.
Method for fabrication of a soft-matter printed circuit board
A fabrication process for soft-matter printed circuit boards is disclosed in which traces of liquid-phase Ga—In eutectic (eGaIn) are patterned with UV laser micromachining (UVLM). The terminals of the elastomer-sealed LM circuit connect to the surface mounted chips through vertically-aligned columns of eGaIn-coated ferromagnetic microspheres that are embedded within an interfacial elastomer layer.
Adapter and external support structure for biosignal measurement system, biosignal measurement system and connection method
A biosignal measurement system comprises an adapter for a biosignal measurement device, and an external support structure separate from the adapter. The adapter comprises tool-less connectors, which are repeatedly connectable to and disconnectable from their counter connectors of the external support structure, and a device connector, which has an electrical connection with the tool-less connectors and which has a connection with the biosignal measurement device that the adapter carries. The external support structure comprises an electrode support structure with electrodes and tool-less counter connectors, the electrodes and the tool-less counter connectors having an electrical connection therebetween. The electrodes form an electrical contact with skin for receiving the biosignal. The counter connectors are in electrical contact with the connectors of the adapter for transferring the biosignal to the biosignal measurement device through the adapter.
Breast-measuring device
In one aspect, a device for measuring breast volume is disclosed, which comprises a housing comprising an enclosure having an opening, a flexible membrane sealingly covering said opening so as to provide an enclosed space within said enclosure, a gas disposed within said enclosed space, and at least one pressure sensor coupled to said enclosure so as to measure pressure of said gas within said enclosed space. The flexible membrane is configured to reversibly flex into said enclosed space in response to pressure of a breast against the membrane. The flexure of the membrane causes a change in the pressure and volume of the gas within said enclosed space.
METERING DEVICE FOR BLOOD GLUCOSE CONCENTRATION BASED ON MICROWAVE SIGNALS
Non-invasive measuring device for measuring blood glucose concentrations on a user's finger, based on microwave signals sensitive to differences in electrical permittivity caused by changes in blood glucose concentration, comprising a rectangular cross-sectional hollow prismatic resonant cavity, which is filled with a dielectric material, an antenna and a mold; a signal-generating means capable of generating microwave signals connected to the antenna through a signal-differentiating means; a signal-detecting means connected to the antenna through the signal-differentiating means; at least one means of control, connected to the signal-detecting means and to the signal-generating means, which controls signal generation and signal reception from the signal-detecting means.
A NOVEL MEANS OF ASSESSING MUSCULAR FUNCTION AND FRAILTY
The present invention is directed to a device for measuring muscular fatigue through obtaining a signal generated by repetitive motions of a human body. The present invention features a system for measuring movements of one or more muscles of a body of a user in order to track muscular fatigue. The system may comprise an object. The system may further comprise a motion sensor configured to measure signals in response to a stimulation and transmit said signal to a computing device. The stimulation may comprise an action carried out repetitively over an interval of time. The motion sensor is configured to measure a progressive reduction in a signal over the repetitive motions and disposed relative to the one or more muscles of the body of the user. The computing device may be capable of measuring muscular fatigue by measuring parameters of the received signals and generating a muscular fatigue signal.
