Dressing assembly
A dressing assembly for providing a warning to a patient or caregiver that the patient needs attention. The dressing assembly is adapted to be applied to or near a surface of the patient's body and generate electrical outputs corresponding to soft tissue pressure and other health characteristics sensed at the surface. The dressing assembly includes a pocket formed therein for removable, secured and protected insertion of a variety of different sensors such as multiple pressure sensors.
Housing, electronic device, method for manufacturing housing, and method for manufacturing electronic device
A housing according to the embodiment includes a lower surface part, an upper surface part, and a side surface part. The lower surface part includes a contact surface contacting an adherend. The upper surface part is separated in a vertical direction from the lower surface part with a first space interposed. The side surface part is provided around the first space and is connected to the upper surface part and the lower surface part. The upper surface part and the side surface part include a first material. The lower surface part includes a second material that is softer than the first material. A portion that includes the second material is exposed for at least a portion of the contact surface.
Sensor film for endoscopic instruments
A method for sensing at least one property with an instrument, wherein the instrument comprises an elongate shaft body; the method comprising the steps of: securing a sensor film conformally to the elongate shaft body, the sensor film comprising: at least one substrate core having a first surface and a second surface; at least one sensing element; a first conductive layer residing on the first surface, the first conductive layer having first solder mask coated thereon, and wherein the first conductive layer is grounded; a second conductive layer residing on the second surface, the second conductive layer having a second solder mask coated thereon, and coupled to the at least one sensing element; causing the at least one sensing element to measure at least one property and output a sensed signal and to convey the sensed signal via the second conductive layer to an electronics module.
PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A pressure monitoring system and method for warning a patient or caregiver that soft tissue pressure has exceeded some predetermined level that over time would necessitate moving the patient to prevent or at least reduce a risk of soft tissue damage. The pressure monitoring system and method utilize a dressing assembly adapted to be applied to or near a surface of the patient's body and generate electrical outputs corresponding to soft tissue pressure sensed at the surface. The dressing assembly includes a pocket formed therein for removable, secured and protected insertion of one or more sensors.
Ultrasonic probe
Disclosed is an ultrasonic probe having an improved heat radiation capability. The ultrasonic probe includes a transducer module configured to transmit and receive an ultrasonic signal, a housing configured to accommodate the transducer module, a cable connected to the transducer module inside the housing and drawn from the inside of the housing to the outside of the housing through an end of the housing, a bending device configured to cover the cable and connected to the end of the housing to receive heat, a strain relief configured to surround the bending device and including a heat radiation groove extending along a circumferential direction of the cable, and a heat radiation fin inserted into the heat radiation groove such that one end thereof is in contact with the bending device and the other end thereof is in contact with outside air.
Implantable medical device with reduced stress welded joint
Embodiments herein relate to implantable medical devices including a welded joint with reduced residual stress. In a first aspect, an implantable medical device is included having a power subunit comprising a first biocompatible electrically conductive shell, an anode disposed therein, a cathode disposed therein, and a lid. The implantable medical device can further include an electronics control subunit comprising a second biocompatible electrically conductive shell, and a control circuit disposed therein. Both of the first and second biocompatible electrically conductive shells can include first and second opposed wide sides, first and second opposed narrow sides, and four rounded corners. The first shell can be welded to the lid around a perimeter thereof forming a weld line. The weld line can have a weld line terminus and the weld line terminus can be positioned on a narrow side or a rounded corner. Other embodiments are also included herein.
Tissue oximeter intraoperative system
An oximeter probe includes sensor head with a probe face having one or more sensor structures to make measurements, a handle, and an elastic member connected between the handle and the base. A user can hold the handle while measurements are made and the elastic member permits the handle to flex relative to the sensor head with one or more sensor structures.
