Male bayonet connector
A releasable connection assembly for connecting tubing sections is disclosed. The assembly includes a dual lumen male bayonet connector and a female latch connector. The dual lumen male bayonet connector includes a first shaft and a second shaft, where each of the first and second shafts includes a distal sealing portion defining a sealing surface, a proximal coupling portion, and an annular channel. The female latch connector includes a proximal end, two sealing members and a distal end. A kit is also disclosed. The kit includes a dual lumen male bayonet connector, a blood pressure cuff, and two sections of medical tubing. The two sections of medical tubing engage each of the proximal coupling portions of the first shaft and the second shaft and the blood pressure cuff.
Telemetrically enhanced athletic apparel
A telemetrically enhanced article of clothing comprises a fabric layer having an inside surface and an outside surface. A sensor is attached to the inside surface of the fabric layer such that when the article of clothing is worn by the user, the sensor is in contact with the user's skin. An electrically conductive trace may extend along the fabric layer and may be electrically connected at a first end to the sensor. A retaining ring may be adhered to the fabric layer near a second end of the electrically conductive trace. The retaining ring is capable of receiving a telemetry device and forming a compression connection between the perimeter of the telemetry device and the retaining ring such that when the telemetry device is received in the retaining ring, the second end of the electrically conductive trace is in electrical contact with the telemetry device. The telemetry device may store, process, or transmit physiological and/or other data collected by a sensor.
Tissue retractor oximeter
A retractor has an oximeter sensor at its tip, which allows measuring of oxygen saturation of a tissue being retracted by the retractor. The tip includes one or more openings for at least one source and detector. A specific implementation is a spinal nerve root retractor with an oximeter sensor.
Method For Producing An Electrode Lead Or A Catheter, And Associated Semifinished Product
A method for producing a medical electrode lead or a catheter, and also to an associated semifinished product. The semifinished product for this purpose includes a cable having at least one electrical conductor, which is embedded in a sheath made of an electrically insulating, thermoplastic material. It is characterized in that the cable, at least at one cable end, forms a connection point, via which the conductor can be attached permanently and non-detachably to further components, wherein part of the surface of the conductor is exposed in the region of the connection point and forms a contact face, and the sheath has, in the region of the connection point, a recess that is continuous in the longitudinal direction of the cable.
Sensor and fastener
A sensor which is adapted to attach to a head of a subject includes a first fastener that includes a first end portion and a second end portion and extends into an arc-shape, a first coupling portion that is disposed on an inner circumference side of the first fastener, a second fastener that has a first through hole and a second through hole, a second coupling portion that is disposed on a first side of the second fastener, and attachable to and detachable from the first coupling portion, a light emitter that is disposed on the first side of the second fastener, and opposed to the first through hole, and a light detector that is disposed on the first side of the second fastener, and opposed to the second through hole.
MAGNETICALLY HELD DIAPER MONITOR
A magnetically held diaper monitor comprises a power supply part and a control part. The power supply part comprises a lower shell, and a battery and a power circuit board embedded in the lower shell. The power circuit board is provided with a plurality of lower magnetic electrodes and two lower magnetic terminals. The control part comprises an upper shell and a control circuit board embedded in the upper shell. The control circuit board is provided with upper magnetic electrodes which are in one-to-one correspondence to the lower magnetic electrodes, and upper magnetic terminals which correspond to the lower magnetic terminals. A diaper sensor is clamped between the power supply part and the control part which are combined into a whole by attraction by means of a magnetic force and is connected to the control part via the magnetic electrodes. The control part obtains a power supply via the magnetic terminals.
DOCKING DEVICES AND CABLE CONNECTORS FOR PATIENT MONITORING SYSTEMS
A connector includes a connector array of magnets having a first magnetic polarity pattern. A port includes a port array of magnets having a second magnetic polarity pattern that is complementary to the first magnetic polarity pattern. The connector is guided and aligned toward a mounted position in which the connector is retained on the port. The guiding and the aligning is through both (i) attraction when the connector is properly aligned to the port and (ii) repulsion when the connector is improperly aligned to the port. The port further includes a securing magnet configured to be activated when the connector reaches the mounted position, to magnetically secure the connector to the port.
