MULTI-LEAD MULTI-ELECTRODE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

A multi-lead multi-electrode system and method of manufacturing the multi-lead multi-electrode system includes a multi-electrode lead that may be used to deploy multiple separable electrodes to different spaced apart contact sites, such as nerve or muscle tissues, for example, that are spatially distributed over a large area.

METHOD OF MONITORING THE DRY CLEANING PROGRESS OF A TRANSCUTANEOUS SENSOR

The proposed invention provides a method of monitoring the dry cleaning progress of a transcutaneous sensor having an electrode for measuring pCO.sub.2 and an electrode for measuring pO.sub.2, both electrodes opening into a measuring surface of the sensor. The method comprises receiving an AC signal from the pCO.sub.2 electrode, initiating a cleaning of the sensor, and monitoring the cleaning progress by analyzing AC signals subsequently received from the pCO.sub.2 electrode.

EXHALATION MEASURING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING EXHALATION MEASURING DEVICE

This exhalation measuring device is provided with a handle component, a chamber, a piezoelectric pump, and a drying mode controller. Exhalation is blown into the handle component. The chamber temporarily holds the exhalation that has been blown in. The piezoelectric pump supplies the exhalation held in the chamber to a measurement component. The dry mode controller executes a drying mode in which the piezoelectric pump is driven and outside air is drawn in from the handle component, after the measurement of exhalation by the measurement component.

Various embodiments are described herein for a Functional Contact Lens (FCL) for detecting at least one target analyte. The FCL may comprise a substrate for supporting electronic components and providing structural support for the functional contact lens; at least one sensing element disposed on the substrate for sensing the at least one target analyte and undergoing a physical change representing a sensed signal; and an antenna disposed on the substrate for transmitting the sensed signal to an external device, the antenna being coupled to the at least one sensing element.

Self-cleaning optical connector

An example medical device system includes a reusable connector cable having a female adaptor and a first fiber optic cable disposed within the reusable connector cable. A single use device is capable of connecting to the reusable connector cable and includes a male adaptor capable of mating with the female adaptor. A second fiber optic cable extends through the single use device such that the second fiber optic cable optically connects to the first fiber optic cable when the male adaptor of the single use device is disposed within the female adaptor of the reusable connector cable. A cleaning assembly is disposed within the single use device and is capable of cleaning an end of the first fiber optic cable when the male adaptor of the single use device is mated with the female adaptor of the reusable connector cable.

Combination device for tonometrical measuring and drug application on an eye

The proposed combination device combines any tonometric metrology with a drug application to administer glaucoma medication on an eye. Several technical concepts are proposed and exemplary embodiments for rebound tonometry and air-puff tonometry are shown. However other methods such as optical coherence elastography (OCE) could also be used. The Solutions provide home care tonometry offerings which host the capability to administer glaucoma medication.
