Disclosed herein are devices, systems, and methods thereof for minimizing or preventing contamination of sterile medical devices during magnetization thereof. For example, a magnetizer cover is disclosed for maintaining sterility of a medical device while magnetizing the medical device. The magnetizer cover includes a base, a funnel extending from the base, and a grip tab extending from the base. The base includes a medical-device interface and a magnetizer interface opposite the medical-device interface. The funnel includes a funnel stem configured to protect an elongate medical device from contacting a magnetizer when the medical device is inserted into the funnel. The grip tab is configured for manipulating the magnetizer cover.

Biometric information detection device and method of producing the same, biometric information detection module and method of producing the same

A biometric information detection device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is configured to be installed in a living body, and includes a sensor, a battery, a mechanical switch, a sealing member, and a holding member. The mechanical switch switches between a conduction state in which power is supplied from the battery to the sensor and a cutoff state in which supply of the power is blocked. The sealing member seals all of the sensor, the battery, and the mechanical switch. The holding member is attached to the living body and holds the sealing member.

Dressing assembly

A dressing assembly for providing a warning to a patient or caregiver that the patient needs attention. The dressing assembly is adapted to be applied to or near a surface of the patient's body and generate electrical outputs corresponding to soft tissue pressure and other health characteristics sensed at the surface. The dressing assembly includes a pocket formed therein for removable, secured and protected insertion of a variety of different sensors such as multiple pressure sensors.

Drape for equipment having cylindrical or other non-planar contours

A drape (600) suitable for covering non-planar surfaces of equipment (1201) is provided. The drape (600) facilitates quick and efficient deployment while ensuring that a sterile field established by a drape portion (601) is not compromised. The drape (600) can include a drape wrapping layer (209) wrapped about a drape portion (601) that is formed initially with two abutting elongated accordion fold stacks (604,605). Non-sterile personnel (801) can handle the drape wrapping layer (209) to position the drape (600) along surfaces of the equipment (1201) without touching the sterile drape portion (601). Sterile personnel can then expand the abutting elongated accordion fold stacks (604,605) to drape the surfaces of the equipment (1201).

Hand-holdable tattoo device

A hand-holdable device for tattooing includes a handle part with a drive, a needle module which is detachably secured to the handle part and includes a needle that can be moved back and forth by the drive, and a protective sleeve which is configured to fully isolate the needle module from the handle part. The needle is connected to the drive by a form-fitting and/or magnetic coupling including coupling elements and the protective sleeve is releasably held between the coupling elements.

SENSOR INSERTION DEVICE

A sensor insertion device comprises a lower case and an upper case. A base holder and a needle holder are disposed in the lower case. A needle holder raising mechanism is disposed above the needle holder. A sensor base having a sensor unit is held by the base holder. When the upper case is pushed down, the base holder and the needle holder move toward an opening on the lower surface side of the lower case, and the needle holder is raised by the needle holder raising mechanism. A protrusion that holds the upper case on the lower case is provided to the upper case in a state in which the upper case has been pushed down until the opening on the lower surface side comes into contact with the skin.

METHODS FOR MITIGATING BIOFOULING EFFECTS OF BIOFLUID INTERFERENTS TO DETECT IN VIVO BIOCHEMICAL AND WEARABLE DEVICE THEREFOR

Example implementations include a device with an electrode electrically responsive to presence of a biochemical present within a biofluid, and one or more biofouling and interferent mitigation layers disposed on the electrode to block transmission of biofouling agents to the electrode and the reaction of interferents on the electrode. Example implementations also include a method of obtaining a biofluid sample, mitigating a biofouling characteristic associated with the biofluid sample, and obtaining a biochemical characteristic associated with the biofluid sample.

The present invention is: a blood flow sensor that sandwiches a longitudinal-direction section of a blood vessel of a subject, from the outer circumference of such section, to generate an electrical signal corresponding to the blood flow; and a blood flow measurement instrument that processes the electrical signal from the blood flow sensor and converts the signal to an electrical signal indicating blood flow. The blood flow sensor and the blood flow measurement instrument are provided with connectors so as to be mechanically and electrically separable from each other.

INTEGRATED RECEIVER FOR CONTINUOUS ANALYTE SENSOR

A system is provided for monitoring glucose in a host, including a continuous glucose sensor that produces a data stream indicative of a host's glucose concentration and an integrated receiver that receives the data stream from the continuous glucose sensor and calibrates the data stream using a single point glucose monitor that is integral with the integrated receiver. The integrated receiver obtains a glucose value from the single point glucose monitor, calibrates the sensor data stream received from the continuous glucose sensor, and displays one or both of the single point glucose measurement values and the calibrated continuous glucose sensor values on the user interface.
