Portable teeth cleaning apparatus
11529220 · 2022-12-20 · ·

Disclosed is a portable teeth cleaning apparatus, which implements, through a pump in a teeth cleaner, a function of supplementing a teeth cleaning liquid from a connecting seat connected to the teeth cleaner. Therefore, it is no longer necessary to connect the teeth cleaner to a teeth cleaning liquid source through a connecting hose during teeth cleaning, and liquid leakage is avoided during liquid supplement. Further, a seating/unseating status and whether a liquid reservoir is filled up are detected automatically, and a controller controls on/off and switching of a series of valves, thereby implementing automatic liquid supplement of the teeth cleaner.

The invention relates to a light curing appliance, in particular a dental light curing appliance (10), with a light source and with a light emission element such as an optical waveguide (12), of which the light output end is intended in particular to be directed towards a material that is to be polymerized. It is provided with one or more control devices (16) for switching on the light source during a polymerization cycle, and with one or more sensors (20) or sensor combinations connected to the control devices (16). The sensor (20) is designed as a location sensor and/or as a motion sensor (20) which detects a movement of the light curing appliance (10), designed as a hand-held appliance, and sends signals reproducing the motion to the control devices (16).

Handpiece-type high-frequency vibration cutting device

A handpiece-type high-frequency vibration cutting device includes a housing (10); a vibration device (21); a holding member (11); a tool (12); and a controller (20) to control the operations of the vibration device (21). The controller (20) controls the vibration of the tool (12) due to the vibration device (21) such that the vibration is burst oscillation in which vibration and stop of vibration are repeated. The controller (20) also controls the entire burst frequency f1 of the tool (12) to be included in the range of 1 to 8 [Hz], one cycle of the burst frequency f1 including a burst period with the holding member (11) vibrating and a stop period with the tool (12) not vibrating. The controller (20) also controls the vibration frequency f2 of the tool (12) during the burst period such that the vibration frequency f2 is in the range of 20 to 60 [kHz].

LASER-ASSISTED ORAL SURGERY SYSTEM
20230054700 · 2023-02-23 ·

Periodontal disorders such as disorders associated with a dental implant are treated. An average power for a laser is selected via a user interface on a tablet, along with a set of permissible laser parameters provided in response to the selected average power. A gingival trough or flap is created around the implant with the laser. Infected tissue is selectively ablated or denatured via photothermolysis, and a pocket is lased around the affected implant. Marginal tissues are compressed against the implant.

Dental laser unit with communication link to assistance center

A medical treatment apparatus includes a power and control (PAC) device. The PAC device provides electrical power through a cable to a laser handpiece assembly to electrically power a laser source within the handpiece assembly. The PAC device controls operation of the handpiece assembly and detects an identification of the handpiece assembly. The PAC device also monitors data relating to operation of the handpiece assembly. The PAC device uploads, through a communication network to a user assistance center remote from the PAC device, the handpiece assembly identification and the monitored data.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MAGNETORHEOLOGICAL CONTROL OF PERSONAL CARE DEVICE ORIFICES

A nozzle (14) for use with a personal care device (10), comprising: (i) a nozzle housing (50/52) defining a central channel (54) through which a stream of liquid and/or air is directed, and comprising a housing orifice (56) at the end of the central channel; (ii) a magnetorheological liquid housing (58) located over at least a portion of the nozzle housing at the housing orifice, and comprising a tip with an adjustable diameter orifice (59) through which the stream of liquid and/or air exits, wherein the adjustable orifice is adjustable between at least a first diameter and a second diameter; and (iii) one or more magnets (62) configured to control magnetorheological liquid (60) in the magnetorheological liquid housing to adjust between the at least first diameter and second diameter of the adjustable diameter orifice.

Laser-assisted periodontics

Periodontal disorders such as disorders associated with a dental implant are treated with a laser where an average laser power along with other laser parameters provide particular settings for the treatment, the treatment including one or more of creating a gingival trough or flap around the implant, ablating or denaturing infected tissue via photothermolysis, lasing a pocket around the affected implant, and compressing marginal tissues against the implant.
