Medical or dental instrument having an RFID memory tag
A medical or dental instrument having a metal instrument component and an RFID memory tag having a memory chip for storing data, wherein the RFID memory tag is attached to the medical or dental instrument such that the RFID memory tag is electrically connected to the metal instrument component such that the metal instrument component forms an antenna for the RFID memory tag for wireless energy and/or data transfer. An electrically conductive coupling element electrically connects the RFID memory tag to the metal instrument component forming an antenna, the electrically conductive coupling element having a planar first coupling surface on which the RFID memory tag is arranged and a second coupling surface arranged on the metal instrument component forming the antenna. A method for manufacturing or retrofitting a corresponding medical or dental instrument is also described.
Laser control GUI system and method
Some embodiments include a dental laser system with a controller coupled to an electromagnetic energy source, where the controller's graphical user interface enables a user to provide input to control operating parameters of the electromagnetic energy source. In some embodiments, the graphical user interface can render a controller enabling user control of a plurality dental laser system parameters with a single action or input. In some embodiments, the user's interaction with a graphical portion of the controller sufficient to control more than one operational parameter of the dental laser system without a requirement for the user to provide an additional or substantially simultaneous interaction with any other controller or portion of the graphical user interface. Further, the graphical content has a graphic indicative of a mode, an operational status, and/or an operational parameter of the dental laser system that is displayed, updated, or animated by the controller.
Dental instrument hanger
A dental instrument hanger has the body of a reader/writer, or an antenna connected to the body, arranged in a hanger unit so as to read identification information from a wireless tag, in a state that an instrument having the wireless tag preliminarily attached thereto is placed in the hanger unit. The hanger includes: an identification information storage that stores the read identification information in a database; a reading history detector that, in response to a driving instruction having been inputted, detects the latest reading history and a reading history read before the instrument displaced from the hanger unit has been displaced with reference to said storage; an identification information specifier that determines a difference between the two reading histories to specify a wireless tag attached to the instrument which has been instructed to drive; and a usage information generator that generates usage information of the instrument.
System and method for training dentists in endodontic treatment techniques
The system according to the invention comprises: a handpiece, to which an endodontic instrument can be connected that is intended to be inserted into a root canal, a measurement unit for measuring a magnitude related to the position of the endodontic instrument in the root canal and a computation and display unit for displaying a graph representing the evolution of the magnitude measured by the measurement unit during an endodontic treatment with the endodontic instrument. The method according to the invention comprises the following steps: displaying, by means of a computation and display unit, a graph representing the evolution of a magnitude measured during a root canal treatment performed by the dentist, the magnitude being related to the position of an endodontic instrument in the root canal, and providing a reference graph representing a predetermined endodontic treatment technique to allow a comparison to be made between the graph representing the evolution of the measured magnitude and the reference graph.
Teeth cleaning apparatus
Disclosed is a teeth cleaning apparatus, including a first liquid reservoir, a teeth cleaner, a connector, and a liquid conveyer. The teeth cleaner includes a teeth cleaner body and a second liquid reservoir that is fixedly connected to the teeth cleaner body and transmits a teeth cleaning liquid to the teeth cleaner body during teeth cleaning. The connector is separable from the teeth cleaner, and the liquid conveyer transmits the teeth cleaning liquid in the first liquid reservoir to the second liquid reservoir when the teeth cleaner is connected on the connector.
DENTAL LASER UNIT WITH COMMUNICATION LINK TO ASSISTANCE CENTER
A medical treatment apparatus includes a power and control (PAC) device. The PAC device provides electrical power through a cable to a laser handpiece assembly to electrically power a laser source within the handpiece assembly. The PAC device controls operation of the handpiece assembly and detects an identification of the handpiece assembly. The PAC device also monitors data relating to operation of the handpiece assembly. The PAC device uploads, through a communication network to a user assistance center remote from the PAC device, the handpiece assembly identification and the monitored data.
Method and system for controlling dental machines
A method, system and a computer readable storage media for operating dental machines through an augmented reality control interface A hands free interface may enable the control of a dental machine during dental treatment by using dexterous parts of the body other than the upper limbs (e.g. by using the lower limbs) on a first user/control interface to send instructions corresponding to a second user/control interface that is different from the first user/control interface.
Remote control device for medical system
In a medical system, a medical device includes a first display that displays a figure or a character corresponding to data relevant to medical treatment performed in the medical device, and a first controller that causes the first display to display the figure or the character corresponding to the data and that, when the data satisfies conditions for notification of a warning, causes the medical device to emit a first warning. A remote control device includes a second display that displays the figure or the character corresponding to the data, and a second controller that causes the second display to display the figure or the character corresponding to the data and that, when the data satisfies the conditions for notification of the warning, causes the remote control device to emit a second warning that is different than the first warning.
WORKING ANGLE GUIDING DEVICE FOR DENTAL IMPLANT AND METHOD THEREOF
The present invention provides a working angle guiding device for dental implant and a method thereof. The working angle guiding device includes an intraoral securing device, a hand-held tool, a first triaxial attitude information sensor, a second triaxial attitude information sensor, and a controller. The working angle guiding method includes a preparing step, an installing step, a correcting step, a moving step, and a working angle adjusting step. The relative angle information of the first triaxial attitude information sensor and the second triaxial attitude information sensor is utilized to assist and guide the dentist to acquire the angle of implant drilling. The present invention has advantages in that the triaxial angle of the drill hole can be confirmed even after the patient dodges, tilts or moves his/her head, and that the first triaxial attitude information sensor can be flexibly mounted in the mouth or outside the mouth.
